Chichi® is a sensual, well rounded Caribbean figure. She represents the vibrant, dynamic and responsible older sister. She is handmade and hand painted in bright Caribbean colors by local craftsmen and painters at Serena’s Art Factory in Curaçao and can be taken home as a delightful souvenir or an original piece of art.
Chichi is the Papiamentu word for ‘big sister’. She represents the eldest daughter of the family, who binds the family together in a loving and caring way. Historical restoration of the Jesus artwork of the Groot Kwartier Church has been completed.
The beautiful Jesus INRI statue of the Roman Catholic church La Virgen Del Carmen in Groot Kwartier has recently undergone a careful restoration. The restoration, a project that took more than two months, was made possible by the generous support of a private donor, who recognized the historical and cultural significance of the artwork.
This recent restoration was carried out by Serena Israel, bringing together craftsmanship and dedication to preserve the historical and spiritual value of the statue. The aim was to repair the damage from the past and return the work of art to its former glory, while respecting the history.

Strange....I don't have any "sensual", big sister that looks like a big chunk of fat dipped in petroleum. Ohhhh...wait this is ART.
😂😂😂 A foreigner artist portraits the local Curacao women like a mass of fat dipped in petroleum and her head is like a big black balloon with no eyes and the Curacao people doesn't complain....why? Because it is a foreigner! I made paintings about overweight black women and they almost burned me at the stake. Moral of the story.....if the ART is made by a white with blue eyes artist it's okay but if made by one of us it's an insult.....why? (slaves mentality) Because in their minds they are still slaves.
