Phoenix Drake: Hand Fit Competition Pistol!

Why hand loads… that’s doesn’t tell “us” shit
That’s where you’re wrong bud. I added hand loads because it’s another data point. I guarantee my hand loads are more consistently loaded than anything out of a factory. They have the exact same amount of powder, down to the tenth of a grain. They are sized, prepped, and seated to the same specifications. This is a comparison of barrel lengths to velocity numbers in the ar platform. How does having another data/comparison point not tell you anything?
Mine are fully charged and i cannot turn them on. Was hsing them is there a lock combo?
I’ve not had that issue, I hate that happened to you. Have you checked the owners manual? Have you reached out to Pro Ears? That’s where I would start.
Just bought my second 300wsm. My friend just bought one too. They are making a comeback. Picked the wsm over a 7 PRC.
That’s awesome! I would love to see this cartridge make a revival in the market
Were those light primer strikes or just part of the drill
I borrowed a d60 and the spring was coiled wrong inside of it, then my rifle didn’t feed the next round after I cleared the first stoppage
was thinking 20 inch barrel plus suppressor
20 inch would be fine but you’ll lose a significant amount of velocity
is there a QD sling attachment point on the back under the collapsible brace attachment
Yes there is!
@@TNRay thanks very helpful
@@chrisb3873 you bet!
I wish there was more videos on this suppressor, I have one I’m waiting on and can’t find any info anywhere! Hopefully I made a good choice.
I don’t have enough time shooting mine to really provide good feedback. I think that’s the case for most people currently
I can definitely tell the difference I've been on the fence about the huxwurx sounds pretty good hear
I love that can, I certainly prefer it over the sandman S I had on the same rifle.
After a year, how do you like these? I was thinking of trying these. Thanks.
Still the best ear pro I’ve ever used! I use them all the time at the range, and I use them at the gym as headphones too. I prefer these over the stealth elite, which I reviewed as well.
I would bet the majority of your ES was due to that clean bore. If you'd started averaging your data after about 10 rounds, I bet your SD and ES would be much lower.
Yeah probably, clean bore and cold bore could both be the culprit.
Aw yea, sold! 🙏🏾
Great little lights for a great little pistol!
I have the mpx its a really nice gun really nice small package but ever since i got the bt apc9 pro and upgraded it a little . The apc9 feel like craftsmanship vs the mpx . Plus the function of ambi the apc9 has is why i love it more . If you can i would buy the apc9 pro it has better functions and is very smooth
Thanks for the comment! B&T makes some fantastic options. I do agree, ambi controls is a plus. The main benefit the mpx has over the apc9 in my opinion is the operating system. Gas piston tames the recoil vs direct blowback, even with the hydraulic buffer.
It is not a 1/2 inch longer than an full-size 5’ inch polymer that have been on the market since 2021-2022
My apologies, I must’ve misspoken. Or overlooked the 25+ models listed on their website 🤣
I just put one on my DPMS AR. Phenomenal trigger. Wish they made one for a Ruger Mini 30.
Awesome! Yeah I would love to see more options for different firearms
Did you use any of the rubber spacers when installing the qls plate? Did you use the safariland or true north install screws/nuts?
Yes, I recommend selecting the rubber spacer based off the offset you need with your specific holster. I used the safariland nuts because they have the three tabs that allow them to sit flush inside the qls plate.
@@TNRay Did you notice the 3 tabs scratching the metal surface of the plate ? Which side do you put the rubber spacers on ?
@nicholasclarence I put the spacers between the plate and the MHA
Gorgeous
Gorgeous
TN Ray you are the man!
Thanks Louis! One of these days I hope to be as cool as you
Great video! Very informational
Thank you!
Anybody know what size rings those are? For the information, good video
.92”/Low
Paid 89 bucks deliverd ra 140.single stage c curved. Im gonna get a few just to have them when the congress gos after our guns again. Its gonna happen allways dose. Get your bump stocks now also. If you need one to bump fire. Bump fire is easy to master.
That’s a great deal
I jave the 140 curved. Best trigger for the price nar none.
They’re great triggers at a great price point
no recoil is crazy😮😅
It’s just 22LR

@@TNRay dat slide is beautiful I keep saying it’s looks aggressive
@kingkiddwavy5668 yeah it does. The new carry comp is slick too
Just tested the Norma 22 match and I like it.
Awesome!
😢
?
I just tested that ammo and did not have the groups that you’re getting.
Did you have better or worse groups?
@@TNRay way worse, I posted a video
@Grumpyseabee22 sorry to hear that!
Looks like it was starting to come into it.
It was trying to, had some flyers every couple groups and the velocities weren’t great…
Just picked the Gen 3 up for $799
That’s a heck of a deal!
799?
The USP Custom Sport is basically a USP Expert which comes with a 5.25 inch barrel but HK just used the Standard USP Slide/Barrel of 4.41 inches. I have owned USP pistols for long time and in 45acp and I was finally able to get a USP45 Expert a couple of years back which came with the same Adjustable Sights as the ones on the USP Custom Sport but the first thing I did when was to replace the blackout sights with Tritium Adjustable Night Sights since I was planning to carry the Expert as part of my CCW pistol Rotation. Last month I picked up the Langdon Tactical USP45 which has a RMR Optic plate and a VERY GOOD Trigger even better than the Expert. If you want to get a much better version of the pistol you reviewed get your hands on the USP9 Expert which is gives you more velocity and you can even shoot Plus P Plus 9mm ammo without worrying about damaging the pistol. I am currently keeping both the Full Size and Expert loaded with Double Tap 450 SMC ammo and the USP45 Compact with 45acp 185gr Plus P JHP from Underwood. Both the Double Tap and Underwood ammo have a very High Ration of Single Shot Stopping Power but since I have been trained to double tap the center mass and be ready for head shot if needed. The USP40 Expert is also a very good choice for competition or carry but they are very hard to get and I have been trying to locate one for the last 10 years without luck.
The USP lineup certainly has some phenomenal pistols. Seems like you’re very familiar with them.
@@TNRay My USP45 Compact was on of the first 50 compacts to come into the USA in 1998 and I have been carrying on and off since then. I was issued a USP9 full size as my duty weapon by command while I served in a Security Squadron in the US Navy after Sept 11, 2001. The command purchased the pistol since we were a new command and basically needed everything and our CO was wanted us to have the Very Best Gear so he ordered Supply to contact the HK MIL/LEO Rep and we got brand new USP9 pistols I would have gone preferred 40sw or 45acp but those USP9 very nice.
how does it compare to the dwx?
The DWX is a better price point by almost a grand, and now that they offer it with an optic ready model… it’s all user preference for grip angle and the ability to customize the pistol.
Really nice pcc.
How does the Steel Frame compare to the Sig Legion X5? Great review, by the way! Lots of good info.
Thanks Donny! I haven’t shot the Sig Legion in quite some time now, but I would say they’re probably fairly similar, with the walther taking a slight advantage. Especially with the trigger, and if you make the zr tactical upgrade, the walther probably squeaks it out a little. That said, Sig just released the SXG too, and I’m curious to see how it shoots.
@@TNRay would you expect one to be more reliable over the other?
@DonnyCorona-f7t some will automatically say the Sig is unreliable or unsafe. Never had issues with mine, but the Walther is 100% in my experience with it, of each model of the pdp I have fired with zero malfunctions.
@TNRay thanks for the info. The PDP seems to be getting a lot of good recognition lately. Sometimes its hard to tell if it's legitimate or not, with so many people being paid for "their" opinions online.
@DonnyCorona-f7t yeah I agree, it’s been getting a lot of positive attention. And there’s always gonna be some people playing everything up to look good for the companies… you won’t find that on this channel, it’s all honest
That raptor is so hot
Solid reticle option!
I'm still thrilled with the performance of these. Even if it wasn't significantly cheaper, I'd still be impressed.
Yeah no doubt! It hits above its weight class in performance
The barrel interferes with the sound and makes them sound similar due to its ring.
Yeah you’re not wrong
Good video. I wouldnt recommend putting any ar grip on it though because its just mpx grips.Sig put 2 springs.
Thanks for the info!
Dumb question, why dont hunting riflea usually have a brake on them? Weight savings would be negligible
That’s not a dumb question at all. I actually prefer hunting with either a brake or a suppressor, but I can’t speak for everyone else. I know some complain about how loud brakes are, and a majority of hunters don’t like to hunt with hearing protection. That is the only legitimate reason I have ever heard of hunters not wanting to use them.

Kimber’s historically don’t like Kimber magazines. Everyone I’ve ever had I just switched to Wilson 47d’s
See… that’s a problem in my mind
@@TNRay you are correct, I have 2 kimber classic stainless in 45. I have LOTS of rounds through them in IDPA matches with no issues ( unless I screwed up) but I can take those same guns to the range and use their mags and I will start seeing the same malfunctioning you experienced.
@williambarnette1049 nice! Just blows my mind that a company would ship out a gun that knowingly doesn’t function out of the box.
@@TNRay I know a gentleman who shoots for Kimber ( or shot) and he says that it’s all a trade off, higher end mag somewhere something is sacrificed.
@@williambarnette1049 oh no… I’d pay $50 more for a gun that comes with mags that run lol
Installed one in a S&W 15-22. After not a ton of rounds it’ll only do lights strikes. Emailed them the other day so we’ll see what happens. Lifetime warranty.
Ahh man! Hopefully you get it worked out.

Wonder why you would say that 🤣
Hows is it are you still running it after a year ??
They still run great! I have been using them much longer than a year though 😅 thanks for watching!
Please say you didn’t screw that riser into the butt stock…….
I… didn’t screw the riser into the butt stock… I drilled holes in it and used Allen key bolts and nuts
@@TNRay well….. I guess it’s just a piece of wood….. 😩
@josephjulian2503 that it is. Function over factory 😉
@@TNRay pardon me, tears are clouding my vision… I bought an MTR a few weeks ago. Scary accurate. No extra holes though.
@@josephjulian2503 they’re shooters, no doubt about that. You’d pass out if you saw what I did to attach the arca rail 😉 I can always find a factory stock to make it back original but I can’t have the functionality I need without the attachments 😉
Nice hat !
Thanks!
What brand hand stop are you running?
If I remember right, it’s the magpul one
Bought this can over the weekend, thanks for the review! Hoping we'll have it by next summer to plink around with!

I appreciate you watching! Did you file as individual or trust?
@@TNRay Decided to go the trust route.
@woodburyfarmskansas I don’t blame you at all. All of my recent purchases have been trust as well. Got 3 back between 3.5 and 5 months on a trust, hopefully you have the same luck!
