    Spark double is so good. Played it last night, and my friend pointed out that because it enters as a dragon, miirym actually copies it, so now you got 3 miirym. But I also had the twin casters out, so it was 4 miirym. Then I played Genax, made 8 copies and got a too much math amount of treasure tokens.

I am so looking forward to seeing this.😊

I think it’s cool there are so many fans who love the Christopher Reeves and Donner film. I heard a lot of folks liked the Tyler Hoechlin show because it marries almost everything of Superman in media. Do you think the movie would be good without any reference to Christopher Reeves or does it need to reference it in order to be good?

      Oh, sorry you felt that way. We try to be pretty fair in analyzing and engaging with a 2 minute trailer. I don’t think there was anything defamatory in what we said that was divorced from the truth. But if you want to watch people scream and say nothing but good excitement, I’m sure there’s a channel somewhere you can find. Or you can just speak to yourself in the mirror since you may enjoy your own opinion more than ours.

    • @johanmatthee2484
      @johanmatthee2484 21 день назад

      @NerdOnThePodcast haha you got jokes. Look man their is a reason people go to film school, I don't think RUclipsrs have any place to voice their opinion about something they don't know shit about Nd then you guys being negative still, omg Bru's you guys literally suck in every aspect of life. Go and watch Barbie.

    • @NerdOnThePodcast
      @NerdOnThePodcast 20 дней назад

      Yeah I agree, people do go to film school for "reasons". We can do this a couple of ways: 1. If you want to talk about the Mise En Scene of a TEASER Trailer sure, we can reference the diegesis of what is TEASED to us, or the Non-Diegetic Score that bridges it all together, or maybe you wanna talk about the Kuleshov effect. HOWEVER, all those lenses to critique anything isn't pertained to a TEASER. So I don't understand how anyone else would throw their weight around on RUclips which you clearly use to watch these reactions, but if you want to try and discuss this with some clear understanding of theory and production experience, bring that around. 2. You can actually timecode us on what we are "so negative" about because that would be more productive than blanket statements, so we can have an actual civil discussion about what you want to talk about. 3. Or you can look in a mirror and ask yourself what you want from any online interaction besides acting like a troll begging for attention. Happy to oblige in any of the options, but "omg bru" while you decide, I'll go enjoy my Barbie like a real human while you clearly can't.

    this isnt a hollywood studio movie, because no one wanted to make it. he has like 5 difference financiers just to raise money and he finally got paramount to help distribute it when he finished the movie in september, for $25mill. so its basically an independent film.

    • @NerdOnThePodcast
      @NerdOnThePodcast 22 дня назад

      That's something I can really respect. Example, I don't find some of Shyamalan's films enjoyable, but the fact that he's been self financing, I go watch anyways. It's a big endeavor. Also gotta support them indie films. Pretty Cool.

  • @badreprint
    @badreprint 24 дня назад

    I don't want to be a hater but even without dialogue I can see that it's another James Gunn romp and I feel like that isn't what I want in a Superman movie. I didn't like it visually very much either. Or the fact that there's so many new superpowered characters that I don't know and will have to learn about, I'm tired, I don't have it in me to learn about James Gunn's favorite C-list weirdos again. But Rachel Brosnahan deserves the world and I love her so now this has to do well.

    I think this new Superman has the potential to be something great. Although Henry Cavill has a special place for me as Superman I do believe David Corenswet can be awesome in this new look for Superman. Gunn just has to nail this world as being established already and I think people will love it. Also becoming a big fan you all's channel!

      Thanks man. I really appreciate your honest discourse and opinions. I think the world of dropping comments or posts online has rather dirtied the water in healthy conversation and fandom. I do hope people enjoy the film without having to shit on the previous universe. If you checked out or already know we covered the Snyderverse with a lot of care and connection to it. Everyone deserves to enjoy their fiction and heroes and ideally they all can be respected by different generations and fans alike.

    I think the fact that nobody in America knows who Robbie is can make this work well (I live near Sac myself and came across Robbie by accident many years ago, even though it’s not a genre I normally listen to). Over the top is subjective, most huge stars do live over the top lives, and Robbie’s story is particularly interesting. I think him being played as a CG monkey makes sense if you know anything about Robbie, it doesn’t actually seem like a stretch and from what I’ve heard after about five minutes you completely forget that he’s a monkey. The concept I think is much more fitting than Pharrell as a lego person. If you want to have a little something to give you context, watch something from his infamous Knebworth concert. You will either get him or you won’t from that. I don’t see the studio breaking even on this film but it’s supposed to be better than The Greatest Showman so who knows.

    • @NerdOnThePodcast
      @NerdOnThePodcast 26 дней назад

      As someone who enjoyed The Greatest Showman (maybe not the accuracy of it, but the song and dance numbers) I don't doubt this will have a great entertainment factor. It is funny how such a huge artist can somehow be completely ignored by America. But that also somehow, makes sense, we're pretty self involved to look over the fence or across the street to see what the rest of the world is up to. I think it's really cool that there are American fans who absolutely love the dude. I do hope the reception tells the studio that for the audiences it was worth not breaking even, I get tired of the business aspect completely dominating the industry that every movie has to be a huge success, when they've already had YoY growth. Maybe it'll be a podcast episode.

    • @mikewatts867
      @mikewatts867 26 дней назад

      @ yeah, I could’ve cared less about Barnum in general but it was an entertaining film, and visually stunning. This is a similar storyline (and of course a common one). Young guy who with low self worth, believes in himself, makes it big, loses himself to his demons, and eventually finds redemption. Yeah like every biopic ever made. It’s a genre that seems to have run its course but every now and then someone has a batshit crazy concept that somehow redefines it all, even if it falls into some of the common cliches. Our lives always fall into cliches no matter how unique our individual stories are to us. That’s the magic of cinema, somehow telling a story in a way you’ve never quite seen before. One thing I like about British media in particular is that because so much of it is publicly funded, they are able to produce content that isn’t always for profit’s sake, the most common denominator. I think this film is actually an Australian production and it cost a ton to make, but in general, I agree with what you’re saying is that we would have more interesting films if it wasn’t just about their money making potential. As Ricky Gervais said during one of his roasts at the Golden Globes, actors’ jobs now are mostly just wearing tight costumes and taking steroids. That’s an oversimplification but people who are creative and visionary with their productions don’t tend to sell as well. A worthy podcast topic for sure.

    Robbie is massive world wide except usa, for some reason. hes the most successful solo uk artist in history holds numerous records in music. 14 number 1 albums. his song he wrote for this movie is nominated for golden globe and is expected to be nominated for an oscar. hes a monkey in this film as thats how he sees himself as a performing monkey.

    • @NerdOnThePodcast
      @NerdOnThePodcast 27 дней назад

      I think I lay that out in the video. I absolutely am open to the idea that I was living under a rock. The chat at the time of the recording said how huge Robbie was and it was super cool to experience that prism. I think the video I was pretty open to the concept that this is an interesting take outside the kitschy biopics that tend to be Oscar bait but something that actually shows maybe more insight to the artist. Thank you for laying down some facts, good to hear from someone that isn’t from the US, because we know the internet is weird like that.

    I just think it's shitty that Peter Dinklage, while well-intentioned, essentially spoke for all little people and got them to make these characters CG instead of giving seven actors jobs who normally don't get as many. There were a few actors who said they would've liked to be in this but he basically took the opportunity away. I dunno, complicated situation but I don't think they made the right choice here.

I'm also not surprised they didn't try to do a Gimli thing because that would've been at least a cool costuming and stunt thing, but that might also miss Dinklage's intention.

    I need an optical out from my ps3 solution?

    • @NerdOnThePodcast
      @NerdOnThePodcast Месяц назад

      Did a little research - you’d probably need to get some sort of adapter that would be optical to aux to plug into the aux input. Never done it but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. You could also just plug your PS3 into your capture card and then the audio via HDMI will be outputted through your system. Just have to make sure the HDMI setting is selected in the PS3 sound settings.

    I love my merfolk deck and I also love aminatou she’s just slower than I want her to be

      As two people who play Esper and Grixis, Aminatou was a must have. Hakbal really appeals to my want to be a threat but also the synergy is just so good, but also I'm a sucker for a good tribal/kindred themed deck! Aminatou will be back with upgrades!

    31:08 that depends cuz Dr strange, Franklin Richard, and scarlet witch depending on where she's at, the inhumans are also between insanly powerful and not.

      I respect your knowledge of characters, I do include Franklin closer to a mutant since he was offered a place in Krakoa, since he is legit a mutant, I feel like it coincides with the statement that the mutant population would completely body the Avengers... Legion, Gabriel Summers, Rachel Summers are incredibly powerful on a Omega and Celestial level.

    Do you guys have a on site mod or judge, to catch like mis plays or missed triggers to help you also understand the gameplay and interaction better! There's some extra plays that could have been easily slide in there and a few displays that could have been caught

      We are a very small boat currently operating at a two-person capacity with these so at the moment no. We are the producers, editors, gaffers, camera, hosts, writers, and we do our best to catch what we can. If the show kicks off and we can get ad revenue or Patreon value to hire on-site crew for day shoots, that could be a future for us. I hope you still find enjoyment until we are rolling in them fat cash stacks!
