Thank you Kidd! My read is strongg coming from Street Fighter, everything’s too slow compared to Orang’s inputs
@@oo-bee Absolutely Correct!!
Back into the world of horror Edit: tbh I've never seen a proper playthrough of this game, nor have I played it myself. This will be my only excuse to watch a full playthrough of it. So please don't give up on this game just yet.
Appreciate the support Lonesome! I'm keen on getting through to redeem myself from the last horror game haha but honestly really appreciate your commitment to watching me play the whole way through. Will make sure I do this time round! : )
Ur choice but ur not done yet theres still dlc (amazing btw) and also another traveler to have at the campfire
Yeah I have seen, feel I haven’t even scratched the surface with this game haha, definitely will have to revisit it : )
looking good KIID 1:02
Clean intro kiddd
Thank you kiddd, had Bulla as my coach with a 3 gallon jug of water the size of his whole torso next to mee
Coming in Shredded!
Welcome back. Sorry for being a week late to the reunion party. I was busy playing helldivers 2 and gradually learning how to use the hlm2 editor. Anyways, it's good to see you posting again.
Appreciate the constant support lonesome! Good to be back ^_^ fell off the bandwagon a bit but hoping to be consistent again haha
4:28 I wanna fly awayyyyyyyydwayyyyy 🤣. Very interesting game
looking good kiddd! What happened to my boi panda in the background!?
He took 1 deciliters of MACO serum
An S on the last video. What a way to (maybe) close this series, you got a lot better my man. I would say give it a shot on hardmode, like a single video and then see if you have the patience because it is really fun but the hard level are insane hard on hardmode
Forgot the table sequence. But hey, we'll probably see it in your hard mode livestream. I'll still be down to watch your videos. I just won't be that active. Until then, I will talk to you again in your next Hotline Miami video/livestream.
The guy in the bathroom staring at himself is Manny Pardo. The guy digging through the dumpster is actually the homeless guy you kill in hm1. The fat guy sitting at the bar with a piece of paper is Martin Brown (Pig Butcher). Tony (Tiger) is sitting right next to Corey (Zebra), with his hands on head and elbows on the table. The bartender is Beard (Shaggy). And the last guy who's next to the jukebox is a Swedish musician by the name of H.M. Hammarin, he's only their as a Easter Egg and can be playable in the editor along with Jacket and Biker. First, when you start up the editor, you wanna use both the "TAB" and "ESC" buttons. Pressing tab will let you flip between "local, upload, and download." if you don't plan on making a campaign or a single level, than your mainly going to be using the download screen. And pressing esc once is to switch between "Single levels and Campaigns." And pressing esc twice will exit you out of the editor. Before/after subscribing to a campaign, make sure to read the description and download the mods and music mod that is recommended for that campaign. The campaigns I'm naming should have a guide on were to put your mods in what folder. Now, here are some of my personal favorite Custom Campaigns. Hunter Saga: This is one of the Longer Campaigns as it is split into three separate campaigns and a single level campaign. The Hunter Saga is set in the same universe and timeline as Hotline Miami, but taking place on Russia side of the story. as the story takes place during the 1985 Hawaiian Conflict and mainly in 1991 Moscow, Russia. If you wanna play these Campaigns by release date, it would be: Hunter, Hunter: Snowfall, Hunter: Redstar, and Hunter: Brotherhood. But, if you wanna play it in Chronological order, it would be: Hunter: Redstar, Hunter, Hunter: Snowfall, and Hunter: Brotherhood. These are my personal favorite campaigns and still play them to this day. But just to warn you that these campaigns can crash your game if you die too many times, or play the Campaign for too long. Innocent and The Kremlin Czar: Innocent takes place in 1989 Miami, where you control two characters named Nigel and Gleb. Nigel, a 50 blessings operator and Gleb, a Russian Mobster. The Kremlin Czar is a prequel as you take control of a younger Gleb during 1982-83 Russia. My biggest complaint about tkc is that the campaign is more story focus. Meaning it has way more cutscenes than levels and it has the exact same problem as the Hunter Saga, it'll crash by dying too much or play too long. it's not a bad campaign, its just mostly story driven that leads into a crash and having to restart a level. Blessed Redux: Made by the one and only, Danny Judas. Blessed Redux is a Campaign that takes place in 1989 Miami where you play as three separate characters. Jones, a 50 blessings operator that actually appeared in Hotline Miami 1 that you technically missed in your playthrough. Don Juan, a female 50 blessings operator that is also a somewhat love interest for Jones. And Manny Pardo, the Detective we all know and love. All I'll say is, I don't like the ending, it just felt rushed but maybe that's just me. Alright, that's enough writing. And I definitely made some spelling errors.
Duuuude, genuinely appreciate that so much, both adding context as I was playing both HM games as well as your advice throughout. Is an absolute pleasure having you comment on my videos so I hope to see you tune in when I eventually get round to those custom campaigns in the future ^_^
Nyohhhhh the gun is stronger than the sword... Nyoh nyohhhhh 4:34
Wack angus wack angus wack angus, Nyoh nyoh nyoh nyoh nyohhhhh
FINALLY, so many people somehow skip the Hotline Miami 3 menu screen in their playthroughs. After development of Hotline Miami 2, Dennis Wedin would be asked if Hotline Miami 3 will ever come out, and he would respond with "there with never be a Hotline Miami 3." And the title screen of hm3 is meant to confirm it. However, instead of making a hm3, they would add in the editor, so people could make their own versions of hm3. I can go into more detail about the Custom Campaigns if you ever do plan on playing them, and see some of my personal favorite ones. Because some of these Custom Campaigns really need more people to play and inspect them like the main games. Because you can really tell a that the people who worked on them really put their love from the community and passion into their work that is completely free. Especially now with people making Standalone Mods of the First game. All I'll say now is, I enjoyed your playthrough as much as your Hotline Miami 1 playthrough.
Was waiting for you to comment Lonesome haha and ah I see, I thought the production of 3 was completely put to a stop because of how graphic the game is lol But yes please! Most definitely, recommended me the campaigns I should download from the workshop and I'll get round to playing and recording them in the near future ^_^ I've just recorded and about to edit Abyss and the secret ending with Evan "Bar of Broken Heroes" but yes, I definitely plan on revisiting this game after awhile : )
@@oo-bee Great, I'll talk more about Custom Campaigns in your next hm2 video. Especially since it's 4 am, here in the US and I haven't slept yet.
@@lonesome729 Much appreciated and course no worries!
Good to see you, back! Kid!!!
Thank you so much KID!!
Got me worried for the last week or 2, but it's good to see you post again. After "apocalypse" and the ending, all thats left are: "Abyss," the secret level. Hard mode, but that's entirely up to you if you wanna record a playthrough or play it on your own. Secret "subway" outro that can only be unlocked by answering the phone in Evan's house during the intro. And, after beating the game and starting a new game, you'll unlock a secret cutscene called "the table sequence."
Really appreciate your concern Lonesome ^_^ just been a busy period of my life haha, in future will put a post up mentioning if I’m unable to do any uploads for a certain period of time in the future : ) Ah I see! Didn’t know I was that far off from the ending haha, I might consider uploading the hard mode but haven’t thought that far ahead tbh but I’ll definitely do those bits you’ve mentioned with Evan, the secret ending and this table sequence scene
The last time I played this level was on hard mode, and that took me around 40 minutes to beat. Idk if this will work with you, but my go-to method is on the first floor. Take down the two fats first and clear the left side of the floor and then the right. And finally, the middle bar. Then, I usually take the stairs to the right and clear the right side of the second floor. I start by going down the hall and taking out both the right and left guards of either side of the center white hallway. After clearing out the right side, I just grab whatever gun and shoot at whoever exposes themselves through the glass windows, and then I go over to the left and clear out the rest. And for the third and final floor, I just clear out everyone from the bottom to the top. Just remember to use guns when clearing out the top half of the third floor, and you only need to fire one bullet at a fat enemy and just run around until they bleed out. There's definitely a better method, but that's what I normally do.
Appreciate the method of doing it my guy, definitely the hardest level I’ve found, dread to think what hard mode has in store for me 😂
The son ( the russian guy with long hair ) is a man obviously there’s no one called ( they ) in this game this isn’t an focken agenda game that support dirty ideas ( like the colours community ) and you can’t call a person with they
Fair enough dude
So this is a pretty touchy subject, but the reason why act 5 was mainly about richter and his mother was because during development, Jonatan Soderstrom's mom passed away. I myself have no say on what Jonathan was going through at that time, but now knowing the context of this act, made me appreciate that even through hard times to push forward with life. One more thing I want to mention. After you beat the game and let credits roll twice, and after the screen goes black for a few seconds, don't press anything until your back in the main menu. I wanna see your genuine reaction to something that people seem to normally skip without realizing.
That’s real sad to hear but a really strong and important message to get across. Am glad that Johnathan implemented Richters story into the game despite the hardships he must’ve faced at the time. Ok I’ll keep that noted for when I get there! Thanks for the heads up as always ^_^
oooook so it was a nuke, if you payed attention to time and locations, it was in California in 1986 a year after the Hawaii missions. HLM1 was in 1989 and most of HLM2 takes place in 1991.
I hadnt tbh but after this game very much looking forward to watching videos going into details of things I missed, didnt want to spoil it for myself otherwise would've done it with the first play through haha
@@oo-bee Also, the character you played as in Hawaii was Beard, who is be dead by HLM1 but is seen by Jacket in his coma dreams because Jacket was in the Ghost Wolves with Beard, also the call before the nuke was about a breakup Jacket had just had.
HM2 is still one of my favorite games of all time, love to see it still getting played to this day <3
Despite the stress that comes with it I am having a blast with the game haha :D
@@oo-bee its definitely not an easy game and can feel unfair at times on a first playthrough lol, ive just dumped so much time into it myself and invested a lot into understanding the story that i have an appreciation for it 😎💙
In Hotline Miami 1, beard (shaggy) would mention in one of his conversation that he had a bad feeling, "I haven't felt this way since San Francisco." and hm2 would answer why. In 1986, San Francisco would be nuked by Russia, and this would start a peace treaty between America and Russia being the "Russo-American Coalition." Russian immigrants would gradually enter into the US, and sometime before 1989, 50 Blessings is created. This would start the events of hm1 as Jacket would sign up for vengeance for his fallen friend and comrade during the "Hawaiian conflict". I love the deeper meaning in the story, something you'd normally wouldn't find out about unless you went digging for it. But I can also understand why it maybe uncomfortable for some people, especially with recent events. I will still love the story and it's gameplay, challenging but fair. Still can be a pain, even after years of playing.
I truly appreciate you highlighting that insight Lonesome! Definitely cant wait until after I finish this game, to watch the deeper analytical videos diving into things I missed such as references throughout the game as you said above with the bombing of San Fran in 1986. Truly a well thought out and well done game as it shows with such a dedicated community to it even after all these years : )
Jake getting knocked down and killed by the mafia is the canon ending to Jake's story, as his body was spotted in Hotline Miami in "Hot & Heavy". However, when you survive the third floor and follow the 50 Blessings Manager and while he's out of the room. You can interact with the desk and Jake will pick up a floppy disk. This will unlock a secret level. Also you ended the video before the outro ended. 8:25 was hilarious, I just love the cut scream
I have a weird knack for ending episode too early haha appreciate you telling me as always : ) Actually went back and fetched that floppy disk and I completely missed that detail of Jakes body showing up earlier in the game! Glad you got a giggle out of me cutting my scream early, was laughing when I was editing it as well XD
Youre getting better my man. Doing hardmode after you finish it? Its a whole different game, the levels get really crazy. Also, if you manage to not die on the very last floor of snake mask you get an extra cutscene and can unlock an extra level for the writer
Just to clarify, all levels have multiple floors or areas, its the very very last area in which if you dont die you can get a secret level. It took me several tries so its whatevs if you get bodied
@@profesoralanq9284 appreciate your comment professor ^_^ literally filmed that yesterday but haven’t got round to editing the video. Ended up recording the secret cut scene as well as I thought it was odd I got dragged away haha
@@profesoralanq9284But didn’t know there were hardcore levels, thanks for bringing it up and definitely will give them a go!
Idk if I'm too late on saying this. After "deathwish" and going into act four, their is a homephone in Evan's house you can pick up. You'll get a unique outro to the level and reunit with a familiar character you normally won't meet in the main story.
Ahhh no, no stress! Couldn’t for the life of me remember his name haha, I’ll have a look when I get round to it next but thank you as always for letting me know ^_^
Thank you so much for playing this game in 2023! Hotline Miami 2 is one of the best pieces of media ever produced
My pleasure! I have been told of it’s greatness and am enjoying it thoroughly, at least most of the times… haha
Useless Fact: if you choose Corey (Zebra) in "Moving up", you can actually dodge the sister's bullet by roll dodging into the room. Since your not suppose to survive the first shot, she will only fire one bullet. There's not much to do after you get access to the room. You can't kill her and all she'll do is aim at you until you leave. Useful Fact: Certain characters (Detective, Tiger, etc.) will survive only one bullet before dying to the second bullet. Shotguns, double-barrels, revolvers and any melee will automatically kill you (obviously). however, a single bullet from a pistol or any automatic gun won't kill you, and to regain your "invisible health bar" is by performing an execution. Should've mentioned this in the last Part. If you do care about your grading while playing as Evan, you can actually pick up guns and he will unload the them and it will keep your combo up. You can also use melee weapons as Evan, but only blunt weapons (baseball bats, metal pipes, etc.). Sidenote: in the intro of "First Trial", you can actually spot Biker outside the Courthouse during Jacket's Trial. Btw, you ended the video before the level outro ended. Sorry for writing this long novel.
Really appreciative whenever you do comment Lonesome! Love learning about any little or big detail about the game so please don’t hesitate to keep the comments coming, that’s really useful to know actually regarding gameplay haha ^_^ Thanks also for the heads up I ended the recording too soon, didn’t realise haha
The reason why Pardo's (the detective) trunk was able to open up in scene 2, was because there was a shotgun that you can use at the beginning of the scene. And also don't worry about looking around being disorienting, it's basically a requirement to have your finger taped to the shift button while in combat. Been playing hm2 for the last half a decade. Nothing is new, but I love seeing newer players playthrough. Keep up the great videos.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate that and will keep it in mind for the next videos I play as Pardo ^_^ That’s reassuring as well, guess I haven’t gotten back into the swing of things and was making myself disorientated haha
This game looks amazing!! Great commentary
Thank you kidddd!!
No clue if you'll get around to unlocking the secret ending that answers everything and also leaves behind even more questions. But until hm2, I enjoyed watching your playthrough.
Thank you so much 🙏 appreciate the kind words and yes I will : ) planning making one more episode which will include the secret ending, bonus chapter and special chapter

Dude respect playing Hotline Miami in 2023 but that was just me believe me you’re gonna love the second game
Thanking you haha, looking forward to it!

You can press middle mouse to lock on and hold shift to look further. don't need George to do that, just increases range
