Yes!! Kindly explore what we call Blind Football a para football type played by people who visually impaired and the blind. The blindfolds are to level the playing ground for fair play due to sight variations the player may have.

Own goals are not so common because the goal keeper is a sighted person.

That must be interesting, the rattling sound of the ball it's what enables them to play and follow the ball at all time given the fact that they are blind and blindfolded

It's a team sport with modification from futsal, there are 5 players on each side where four (4) outfield players are blind and one (1) sighted goal keeper. Behind the goal keeper there is a guide who directs players and informs them on when to shot or score. There no offsides and throwins but the rest of the rules apply in same way like for sighted football. Each half is played for 15 minutes which is 30 minutes full time.

Yeah, this was our training of sighted teachers and community coaches who are to train blind students the sport in Northern Uganda in our absence and that's how we gave them a feel of how the game is.

We are currently encouraging our athletes to source for their own shoes because we lack funding to buy for them which is a burden to them because most of them are students and others are totally unemployed.
