We are working on that,, we just got the final prototype this week and will be testing and doing videos next week.

The 4 jaws grip fine for securely grabbing a concentric circle, but if you grab a slightly elliptical shape the 4 jaws don’t hold so well. 3 equally space jaws work better. Is there a way to modify the 4 jaw setup (ie a jig) to grab an elliptical form without any wobble?

Will you be showcasing examples of the difference in quality between the two and how it benefits the RF and Galvos?

Any future thoughts on switching to Hiwin Linear rails instead of the Delrin V Wheels? That would be a really nice upgrade and improve overall build quality and minimize ever having to worry about tightening (or replacing) those wheels with long term use.

Hello. I love your setup. I really like the idea of electronic dampeners. I have a Nova 51 right now as well as an Omtech Polar running into an 8" duct leading outside, each has it's own stock fan. I like the fact that the Thunder automatically turns on the fan only when it needs it (via the rear plug). I wonder if there is a way to have the Thunders rear fan port automatically turn on your electronic duct instead of having to do it manually.... Just a thought. One less thing to have in your setup and one less thing to forget.

I got the galvo version and it will not hold a tumbler even with a double wheel at the other end locked in and square. I tightened and it still wobbles. 40 oz tumbler. Tried all feet.

Can you do a video of the RotoBoss Talon engraving a pattern 360 degrees around the top outer edge of the largest diameter wood bowl possible? Maybe a salad bowl or candy dish. The pattern could be a simple Celtic weave maybe 1/2” wide where the start and end meet perfectly aligned at top dead center.

That is a nice video of engraving a 90 degree wall on a dog bowl. If it was a typical cereal bowl that had a smooth curvature and the side was tapered from the top down towards the bowl base, would the engraving be true or distorted as the laser beam travels further towards the bowl’s mid height and lower? Would it depend on the laser’s program… Creative Space, Lightburn, CorelDRAW, Inkscape… etc? I know xTool’s Creative Space program will plot and adjust for most convex or concave surfaces to be engraved.

What is the widest wood bowl (O.D.) that can be engraved with the Talon 4 jaw rotary chuck on the Thunder Bolt with the Z Table dropped as far as it will go? I want to engrave the circumference on bowls I’ve made on my wood lathe between 6” and 8” wide on the outside dimension.

howdoes this hold up with say a 40oz cup that has a larger taper mid section compared to a 20oz cup?
