Theas old cranes where great for iron working I first started in Iron workers we used a old girl like this and used it tell 2007 ares was older I think it was link belt from 60s
funny , a first start after eight months there is air in the system ready to roll , miracle crane (these cranes are actually good provided the maintenance is 100%)
Nice tractor and good operator but he didn't let the turbo slow down on shut off. And if it was hot he needed to let it cool down some. But he was a seasoned dozer man by the way he carried the blade.
Final drives, cylinder heads and crankshafts, to name a few, were an issue on a lot of IHC crawlers, right from the 9's, 14's, 18's, 24's and on up. If IHC wouldn't have been so narrowminded with their engineering, in their careless haste to bury Caterpillar, better quality machines would have been the result. The 18's would embarrass the D7 of the day pulling a scraper or on a dozer, but the 7's would still be working while the 18's were in the shop.
I operated a TM650 Lima and a T 550 Lima back in the 70s. Strong machines
My favorite crane!

Reminds me a lot of the U.S. Army's A-frame tent system. Though, the pole system means losing poles would be a bit difficult.
I hear a Detroit I think
