more weight on the tractor too much wheel/track slip
Transferring power to the ground is the challenge. How do you determine the necessary depth? And then how do you measure the benefit of this operation?
Try the 620 quadtrac
Now it's called ripper years ago ripper. It's very needed with today's soil management when I was a kid it was subsiding. Same outcome.
Compression springs on the ripper, bad engineering.
I think you should fold the ripper up and do the rest of job right .
Hello buddy! I hope everything is going well. I've just posted a crime documentary that I've invested a lot of time in. Your feedback would mean a lot to me, so check it out!
I think it would do a lot better if the tractor had more ballast
Case IH not Case.
What, at idle... LOL
Case IH not Case.
A twin track of the same HP would run away from this. Why? just count all the gear boxes from the engine to the tracks. I bet these 100HP shy of pull at the draw bar. Good pan rig, not good for farming.
🤡🤣🤣
@@smylebutta7250 for some people ignorance is true bliss. words btw trump emoji's every time.
The 865C was originally planned for this ripper, it only spins with full ballast and is unsteerable
@@robertbanik7879 If it weights around the same as the 4 track pos you're a liar.
Need duals on the quad grinns, obviously a hard pull, but the ground needs it. D 8 or 9 with a root plow going 30ty inches but kinda expensive and a lot of welding and hard plating, but great for growing crops. Europeans still love big plows, but over here it's millions of pounds of poisons every year. Farmers need to get back to moldboarding and sweeps.
From England Steel Tracks Required
I love ripping
why are you going so slow? it must be able to pull it faster with over 700 hp.
Traction/slip
Can it be weighted down more?
@@Hermiwallefrom 30,5t up to 34,5t it is possible
Comments like this crack me up. They’re ruining it 16 inches deep. See the wave and ground breaking up behind the ripper? There’s a lot of compaction. We run a 9 shank on our 620. Some of our fields it plays with it. Some fields it’s all it wants.
@@gregjames5070 forgive my ignorance. But 775hp is 775 hp. he stated they were traction limited. Altough it should be able to pull it faster anyways even if the slip increases.
The new 715 Quadtrac is a beast!
I'd be more impressed with it pulling an 11 shank ripper
Partially frozen ground to some extent? Sure it would pull 11 just as well!
Depends on depth
Rippin semi-frozen ground is not the smartest idea and that is one of the reasons for track slippage.@@farminelectra
Скоро трактор умрёт
Thanks for your impressive vide The 715 could probably pull another 3 shanks.
Not at 16 inches. Had to bring it out to about 12 or it would just slip.
You could see a bit of slippage, I'd guess the snow doesn't help. Surprised to see the 3 pt hitch.
Yeah I was wondering if another shank could be added then I saw the tracks slipping a bit. Those rippers are a hard pull. Engine power is there though.
You need a John Deere 9RX 830 then!
That's a big old assed hood on that thing - must be a massive engine in below it. Despite how deep the ripper is, and the number of shanks, the tractor hardly seems to be breaking a sweat. Engine revs sound comparatively low too - should save on fuel useage.
Hard ripping for top Cummins power!
Hello! The new Red Mean Machine easily doing the job. Greetings from Portugal.
Most dont realize how much water can compact soil in low spots and heavy traffic from graincarts and trucks. She pulling hard meaning you getting deep enough to break it up. There are times we fold up our 7 shank to make it a little easier on egt's lol
Slippage 99%😜😳😳🤣
May need to upgrade to the new 715 quad track
Working on it ! Deere is next up
Boy, you were not kidding, fast thinking :D@@farminelectra
That's some tough goin, even for a tractor like that.
How deep you pulling it?
16 inches

Don't see many New Holland equipment down closer to the Sioux Falls area. At least not anything "new". Suppose it all depends on what there is for dealerships in the area. Hope 2019 didn't kick you in the nuts too hard this year!
Jim Esser yeah it did. Hardly harvested any of our corn yet this year.
Damn! Was it the foot of snow that hit you guys up there a little while back that has held up everything?
Jim Esser just never had the heat units this year. Will be a lot of spring harvest up here.
Ever had to harvest in spring before? I don't farm but I work for a farmers elevator in colton sd. I've heard a lot of "this will be the first" from all the farmers in the area this year. Just praying next year is better. Best of luck to you and hope better times are around the corner!
Jim Esser never.
Awesome video. Looking forward to some fall harvest footage.
Like in the bookings area
Great video, nothing like having an enthusiastic helper!!!!
Hi i am from G B how long did it take you to cut all that field please.
The section took us probably 3-4 days.
@@farminelectra Thanks for that do you not get fed up returning to the same field day in day out , over here we dont get fields that big.I take my hat off to you farmers in America you do a wonderful job. thank you.
Maurice Dickinson thanks! Only thing we get fed up with is the price of grain.
Great video! Bet you get to see a lot of wildlife when finishing a field, I get a great view from the combine.
M.D. Van Thanks. Mainly deer, some porcupine, and infinite number of badger holes.
Did you put tile across the end of that field? Thanks
Douglass Wilkin no that was our local broadband/internet provider. They trenched in fiberoptic this year.
Damn that is some acres in that spread.... I hear them NH are alright.... This 2018 has been one hell of a mess down here in Missouri, but I hear its been a mess a in lot places.....
Dave Hughes Farm luckily we finished before the moisture and cold moved in. Thanks for the comment
Awesome video!
Ross W. Thanks.
How big is that field?
David Andrews 170 in first few minutes and a section on rest. All I was able to get footage of.
What part of South Dakota?
North Central
Tires on your grain cart are on backwards.
Aren't they always?
@@wilddutchman9750, yes. An ag tire should be put on normal for powered applications and backwards for non-powered applications. If you look at the back tires on their combine, that's correct for one that does not have rear wheel assist.
Now see! I have already learned something new today.
At the 7:07 mark is that your farm and equipment shed in the background?
Gary C yep
Great video. How many acres was the field in the video?
Nezrom field in the beginning 170, field at the end is a section.
