Growing up in Rural Ireland in the 1970’s and 1980’s, I recall seeing similar buses to these being operated by the old state run CIE (Coras Iompar Éireann) on the Dublin Busaras to Navan, Kells & Cavan routes - given the state of Irish Rural roads at the time, they were very uncomfortable and had a very poor ride quality - they had similar buses also operating around Dublin as well
