about the going into a converssation, what I always did in vrc in any languages is that I come with a short and cute catgirl avi and join the part where there are some half mute short avi people and just meow around and pet people and enjoy reciving pets, and often I will end up on somenyan lap being petted while they talk with somenyan else, I Really like that because its a verry intresting input, and often I get comments that am cute and then a few questions here and there, tho I dont have the confidence to talk much so I just answer 3 or 4 words when I understand and otherwise I jsut meow at people, I actually even do that irl in french and dutch and english the majority of the time and it actually works quite well as am short and young looking irl getting into a random converssation isnt easy but with enough social interactions and a group of friends forcing me to go to a bar with them, I learned to do it in a way which isnt awkward and its really nice, and its even contagious as its how I made my gf more social than before in vrc, its sometime extremly random topics that can be intresting, some where talking about an anime randomly and then even invited me to join them watch it with them because I was there being cute vrchat always worked for me because ven years before I got vr, I was enjoying acting cute and having people pet me and tell me am cute and its something I feel like I miss irl and vrc fills a special place in me, I been playing it since 2017 and always had an awsome time with people, and now with vr, I can interact even more with mute people that also act super cute

Jesus, i've been learning vocab, kanji and kana. And because of that my brain naturally wanted to start forming sentences. So i thought: lets learn grammar so i can plop them together, and it just dawned on me, how much i still have to go. Great video and thanks for breaking my perception of progress.

You doing 120 mew cards in a day fills me with a deep and overwhelmind dread XD i struggle with Anki more than anything tbh as my reading is slow even in English (native language) and keeping consistent on Anki i feel is the most important goal for me. I think i can manage 10 cards a day because then im not doing anyway near too many reviews. When i see a high number of reviews it really turns my blood cold. Congrats on your efforts. I would love to get your results in one year but theres no way i could handle ghe number of reviews generated by that number of new cards. Was it over 1000 reviews daily? Well done anyhow x

i really hate vocab cards. i can't remember them. When i tried to learn vocab cards i used up to 30 min to learn 5 new words.

Side Note: The more I learn about grammar rules for English, the more it confirms the fact that English is awful to learn as a non-native person. We have so many grammar rules with so many exceptions. When people ask me why something is said a certain way, I can't answer a lot of the times. We just instinctively know it needs to be said this way or it doesn't sound right. Thanks for another great video, Cheif. I'm glad I found this channel. The algorithm did something right! I assume in your girlfriend's native language, the phrase for 'turn on the lights' can be directly translated to 'open the lights' similarly, in my home language, the phrase for 'turn on the lights' is 'light(as in a fire) the lights'

Honestly I struggled for years to try to understand Japanese and basically just gradually gave up on learning the language. This makes me want to learn Japanese again. How on earth is this not taught in any major textbook.
