Hydrogreen System is a technological marvel and a welcome solution to any livestock farmer. Congratulations on acquisition of the system and may it serve you well for decades to come. I am an aspiring livestock farmer. While hydroponic fodder is a great source of animal feed, I was disappointed to realise that I cannot feed my animals on this alone. Tell me, what percentage of this fodder is included in the daily ration for your cows? I am informed that I still need hay which takes us back to the original problem of land availability and water. Grass fed cows in open pastures in Switzerlanf do not require supplemental hay. I consider barley sprouts to be very similar in texture to grass in the pastures but much richer in nutrients. Please forgive my ignorance.

Can it replace conventional feed ?

This seems like a really incredible idea, but I see one major problem with trying to scale this idea up and make it more mainstream for food production (other than the high cost of entry to build such a system being a massive barrier to entry to most independent farmers): seed. This system would need to use an unfathomable amount of seed to run year round. And since you aren't actually growing any of that seed to maturity to produce more, it all still has to be grown elsewhere. Im no mathematician, and I wouldn't even know where to begin to crunch the numbers, but I would imagine that a pretty significant portion of the 500 acres this system replaces would still need to be used to produce seed to feed the system, thereby negating it's positive impact.
