Texas has no general law restricting trucks from the left lane. The restriction is a city ordinance that TxDOT agreed to. But trucks are still permitted to use the lane to pass per Texas Code. If the truck is not passing, then they are in violation.

Pulling out of that skid was impressive. I hope the driver was safe. If both drivers had not reacted as they did, we would not be watching this video, it would have been reported on the evening news.

If the cammer weren't paying attention this could've been waywayway worse. amazing reflexes on both truckers. To pull a semi out of a drift like that is also impressive, but he probably never should have gotten in that situation to begin with.
