My name is Rebecka and I’m coming to you from Malmö, Sweden. Here I talk about my knitting projects, plans and things that inspire me. I am all about sharing the ups and downs of the knitting journey and won’t shy away from the blunders I make.

Episode 7: Everything I knit in 2023
I am knitting the Lumme. For the colourwork, i put a stitch marker for each repeat of the chart. This helps you be able to count each repeat and know where you have missed or extra stitches. Keep going with it. It’s a lovely pattern
That’s a great tip. I should probably do that. I have a tendency to rush into my projects. Especially the ones I am really excited about.
ahhh, it's always a pleasure to watch "real life" videos :) you are so natural, I honestly enjoy it every time! thank you!
Thank you 😊
I've just finished watching your podcast - life got in the way 😂 I did test knit Candelaria for Teti and it was lots of work because the gauge was so tight (30 sts) and also I ended up using much more yarn and time as she tends to make her designs pretty short. I am tall and I needed to add extra length on body and sleeves. Looking forward to seeing your FO 🎉
Yes, tight gauge for this one as well (28sts). I’m at the end of the yoke, and it feels like one round takes forever, so I decided to time myself (as one does 😂🤪) and I was right. Took me 13 mins. Thanks for letting me know. I will definitely have to do the same…
I think you did a good job with the pronunciation of names (and everyone should know you did your best!) and a really great job with the selection of patterns. I like your colors for winter knitting, too. Thank you! (And I hope you enjoy your knitting!)
Thank you, I’m glad to hear that 😊 I mostly do 😂
I love the top you’re wearing. Is it hand knitted?
Thanks, it is. It’s the Outline tee by Jessie Maed designs.
These videos of yours are the truest (is this a word?) thing in the internet. Love your comments on the various projects and yarn and honestly I also enjoy your struggle when it happens because it makes you so real. I like the combo brown Lima/pink. They are such a good match and you'll look great in the finished sweater when you get past those increasing section😂
Wow, thank you. That’s such great praise! 😊 I think that I generally am trying to embrace the less than perfect and the flawed and just accepting myself as I am. It’s a journey 😅
You made me laugh out loud all by myself here! I could relate when you told us about the “hipster thingy” on the brioche hat and then you said well I’m 6 feet so nobody will see what goes up around here. 😅🤣😂
So glad you liked it. There are some upsides to being tall…
thoroughly enjoyable watch - engaging throughout, chuckled more than a few times 🙂
Thank you! Trying to stay real. Sometimes I overdo it 😂
I'm doing the candellariella test knit too. I've really enjoyed the colourwork yoke. I hope your moving goes smoothly
It such a pretty design 🤩 Thank you.
It’s giving Phoebe when she got a cold and sang blues 😃
Hahaha, that’s what I should have done!
Pure chaos this vid, loved it!
Hahaha, that’s how I roll 😂
Jeg liker Teti Lutsak også. Tusen takk for video 😊
Tack själv 😊Ja, hon har en så unik stil.
Vielen Dank für die Inspiration. ❤ Gefällt mir sehr ❤
I’m glad you liked it 😊
Another great video with lots of amazing patterns. You seem to have a very similar taste in knitwear as I do :-). The Forest Berry Dress and both the long cardigans are so so dreamy... maybe I'll be good enough next year to try one of them. For the moment I am definitely going to attempt the Harris hood. Where I live it gets REALLY cold (-50 celcius sometimes) and a hood that I can layer over a hat or headband sounds just perfect.
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. -50 is really grim 🥶 I can’t even imagine what that would feel like. So clever 😂
Thank you for taking the time to look for all these patterns ❤ I am not a beginner knitter, but I love easy patterns. The Step by Step Cardigan has been in my queue for a while now…
I’m glad you liked it 😊
I’m so inspired by your knitting and ideas!
Lovely vlog, thank you… I love your picks both the wool and the patterns. Also very useful to know the weight and sizing of the materials used. Thank you once again 💕🌿
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for showing these patterns - I would like to knit some of them. Love to see your podcast!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it😊
Beautiful patterns, and I love the color palette you have in mind -- I've also never heard of Wool & Beyond, so I'm glad you've introduced me to them!
Thanks! Yes, it’s a new obsession of mine 😊
I love to watch your videos. You seem to be a very down-to-earth kind of person which is very calming and pleasing to listen to.
Thank you 😊
Tusen takk for video😊
Lovely patterns for all knitters! New to your site! Enjoyed. Good luck in your new dwelling!
So glad you liked it. Thank you 😊
Hey.. I believe it was me who asked you for a video with some beginner knitting projects and I am so delighted you actually did it. THANK YOU! I love your choices and will definitely make a few of your recommended patterns. I will start with the fingerless gloves I think. I have this beautiful skein of fingering weight yarn that has been waiting for the right project. Thanks again and I am looking forward to your future videos. Happy knitting!!!
Great to hear from you and thanks for the video idea. I’m very pleased that you liked my selection. Good luck with the gloves 😊 and happy knitting to you too.
I'm not a beginner but I really enjoyed this video. Your choices were really thoughtful and interesting.
That’s great! I’m so glad to hear that 😊
thanks so much for this! i’m a longtime sock knitter who keeps putting off knitting a cardigan or sweater, largely because so many look too complex. so i really appreciate your work finding beginner patterns!
So glad you liked it. Now you have no reason to put it off any longer ;)
These are perfect I can see three or four things that I want to do straight away including the first hat and the baby shawl. I have a request, can you talk about the weights of wool. like fingerling weight and worsted and DK . Can you explain them and show examples and also if you hold two together how do you know what the finished weight is? Thanks!!
That’s great! A really good idea. I think I’ll do that. It would of course have been a good idea to explain what I’m talking about when addressing beginner knitters ☺️
Thank you! ❤ Great video for advanced knitters as well. I loved the fingerless mittens and will definitely make them as the pattern is free 😂
I’m so happy you liked it. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go down 😅
I use Järbo Raggi for mittens. I have made about 10 sets of theTin Cat Knits World's Simplests Mittens (free! Lots of sizes and 3 different yarn weights) I will try the Purl Soho Arch Gusset Mittens next!
Wow, that’s a lot of mittens. I do love Tincan knits. Their size range is beyond generous. Just finished my second pair of the Arched gussets and they are great.
I love the fact that ypu talk about seasonal garments that you have already made and know about both the process and the resulting piece and how much your wear it.
So glad you liked it. They are fun videos to make 😊
Love your down-to-earth honest presentation, I can easily relate to your knitting stop and start travels. Your projects are lovely whatever stage they are at. The color of your Kylie is very becoming with your coloring. Good luck unpacking and settling in to your new residence.
Thank you 😊 I like to stay real. And thanks for the encouragement. I’m getting closer…
I appreciate that you share your struggles with knitting. We are human and not perfect! Your knits are lovely. Good luck on your move and settling into your new home.
Thank you 😊 Perfection is the enemy of good. Thanks, it’s slowly coming along.
Thoroughly enjoy your episodes!
I love to hear that ☺️
It's the first time l have heard a RUclipsr mention Klippan yarn, and the Järbo Svensk Ull as well. It means a lot to see my local, more affordable, yarns being used. I can't really afford the Merino plus Mohair combinations and yet - of course - changing the yarns makes a huge difference to the appearance of the finished item. I came to you through the Knitted Capsule wardrobe episode, and stayed because you said Malmö! Perhaps you and Elin Berlin, and Järbo and Klippan, can inspire me!
They are really nice yarns and I do enjoy more rustic yarns, especially during autumn and winter. And for colorwork, that I always feel drawn to this time of year, a rustic wool yarn is the best 😊
hey, greetings from the USA. Enjoyed your thoughts. I have knitted the east wind jacket and wear it frequently. it is a winner. I have also knitted Luume and it is a beauty. I have to tried the LYS card yet. think about kitting the Viima pullover instead of insert.
Hey :) Maybe I should let go of my fear of sewing and make the Eastwind. Lumme is definitely getting on the needles this season. I already have the yarn for the Malin color.
I really enjoyed your video and have watched it a number of times. I started a pair of the Purl Soho mittens today and was wondering about your comment that you doubled the yarn when you knit them. Did you use the same needle size and how did that affect the sizing? Thank you for taking the time to post.
Thanks :) I used the same needles to make the fabric thick and wind resistant. I’m not sure if they are bigger or not, but they fit me perfectly. I do have slightly bigger hands than the average woman though.
You are absolutely adorable. I really like how open you re with your knitting processes. The successes and the redos that you do, never giving up. It is very refreshing.
Thank you 😊 I like to be open with the fact that even knitters that have been doing it for a long time can make lots of mistakes 😂
Thanks so much for sharing the inspiring patters - I saved many of them in my Raverly 😊
That was a fun video, I'm saving your bundle to my favourites :)
Lumme by Sari Nordland is so beautiful, on my list to knit!
Yes, it’s going to happen this season 🤞
Thank you, the Purl Soho mittens is a pattern I shall knit.
I have so many of the same patterns in my queue. I love feminine patterns. Happy Knitting 🧶
What a wonderful collection of patterns, thank you for sharing them. I have added quite a few to my own Ravelry 'to-do-list, however, I am a VERY beginner knitter and most of these patterns are out of my league. I can't wait until I am capable enough to try some of these. If you can recommend a pattern that you like that is suitable for a beginner knitter, I would love to hear it. Or even better, do a video about very easy but still interesting patterns :-). Anyway, thanks again for your video, happy knitting!
So glad you liked it 😊 When I was a beginner I found that making something I really wanted to wear was the best motivator. The trick is to abandon all fears and try all kinds of things. The thing I struggled most with was stranded colorwork, but that’s different for everyone. Some of the accessories and socks are rather simple, but making an episode with interesting beginner friendly patterns is a great idea. I think I’ll do that. Thank you 😊
Why is it that I can't wait to the end of the video for commenting? Anyway... 3 minutes 44 into the video and I'm wondering Ok the jacket is supposed to be knit in pieces and sewn together BUT isn't it possible to modify the pattern so that you just knit it in the round? I mean you really like it. Maybe you could consider going through a little struggle in order to finally get what you want
@@Knitinthecity-qm1br Thanks for the tip and I'll be looking out for that video. (but no problem if you end up not making it, no pressure at all)
Hello from Washington! Thank you for sharing the lovely patterns. So many beautiful things to knit-it’s hard to choose!❤
Hi! Us knitters have a problem 😂 And great patterns just keep coming 😅
Thank you for providing such é interesting contents! Your choices on pattern yarn and colors are very inspiring. Trying to make up my mind over autumn knitting plans while trying to knit this never ending black Cumulus 😭
Thank you 😊 Yes, the leftover summer projects don’t feel very inspiring at this point. And black as well…At least it will look great when its done!
Thank you so much for sharing patterns, designer and your experiences while knitting and wearing the garments. I love your style and colours ( i need cool tones too, so i‘m not going for all the autumn colours like orange and brown)! I made the „Vertices Unite“ for my husband and myself and i wear this shawl a lot, too. Planning for a while to knit a second one … 😏 Greetings from Switzerland❤
It has been helpful to look back at the things I wear a lot. It makes the selection process for picking new patterns easier. I feel like a second Vertices is on its way…
You have so much patience with your knits 😊 I wonder if the addition of breast darts could help with your summer knits. Ami Sher has patterns using that technique. I haven’t tried it for I have the opposite issue lol I love your Kylie pullover, it is definitely on my must do list. Have a great day 💓
Yes, I have become more patient over the years. In the beginning I didn’t even use to fix easier mistakes. I think you are on to something. Yes, Kylie is a great pattern and I am determined to finish it. I am a bit tired of doing the same thing over and over again though…😅
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 Such an awesome collection of projects, off to add a few more to my queue, a lot of them are already in it 😍
Hi! Great that you found some additions 😊
such cozy wonderful selection of patterns and yarns 🥰
Thank you 😊 That’s exactly what I was aiming for.
Amazing knitting projects choices. Thanks so much for sharing. Love your palette 🎨 for this fall 💙
Thank you 😊
Your taste in patterns is incredible! I think I either already had it saved, or I added almost everything in your bundle to my ravelry favorites!
Oh, thank you 😊
