Rallying the '98 Impreza Outback Sport
****DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK****
After getting ten inches of snow the day before, I took my Impreza, camera, and Go-Pro out so I could make a quick-and-dirty video of me pseudo-rallying. Couple drive-bys with some drifting and some behind-the-scenes.
****DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK****
*Equipment*
1998 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport 2.2L 5-Speed Manual
Nokian WRG3 Asymmetrical Tyres 205/60/R15 95 XL
Nikon Coolpix P7700 (Outside shots)
GoPro Hero 3 Plus (POV shots)
iPhone 6S (Shot of me changing gears. It was mounted using a dash mount attached to the plastic piece that covers the interior roof lighting)

I miss the northwest and my little Impreza.
@@kdeeznuttz me too :(
Wheels Size please? I´ve to choose 15' or 16' Nice video.
15! And thanks 😊
Love the video man, I’d love to see more content!
Thanks! Unfortunately I lost the battle with the rear subframe rusting out and I didn’t have the money to fix it :(
Hell yeah buddy 😄🤘
LoL..... Been there....
Hell yeah. I watch these guys driving theirs "off road" at literally 3-5 miles per hour and I am like "what's the point". Enjoyed the vid.
Thanks! Ya I understand why but what’s the point of owning a Subaru unless you don’t throw it around a little
I remember watching this shit in high-school when I had my 97 subie outback sport automatic. I miss her so much but I'm definitely thinking about getting a new one but getting a manual this time. Can it take the abuse from me learning on it???
Subarus aren’t necessarily the best cars to learn stick on, in my experience the locked 50/50 awd makes them stall pretty violently. They can definitely take it though, I learned partly on an 04 forester and have put many many miles on it since then.
I would try finding an old subaru first as they will be more broken in and forgiving and if something is completely wrong it won’t cost you that much.
bring a bigger shovel next time, it only adds another 10 pounds to the car
Lol not the dollar store beach shovel
Сразу видно не наш человек,по лопате видно
1:09 wtf how could you have get stuck in snow like that even with SUBARU furthmore, you non-understably didnt rotated the wheels into the other direction while there was soooo long time reaction like WHAT A SHAME LOL THE WORTS SUBARU VIDEO EVER PLEASE SELL IT U DONT DESERVE THAT RIDE
you need a new shovel man
следующий раз лопату по меньше возьми)
What a beast video
U was better off putting a tea spoon in your glove box incase u ever got stuck 🤣🤣🤣
🤣
Dang oversteer, you should stiffen up the rear
Ya it had very worn out OEM springs and the rear subframe was on its way out. Doing this definitely made it worse 😂
that really big shovel btw. 😂
I love this video. So pure lmao
That lil shovel cranked me up
I managed to get the wheels cleared pretty easily but I table-toped it so had to call AAA 😅
only in a subnaru
best car on the planet, mine is twenty years old and on its last leg but 350,000 miles and im trying to keep it going, someday if i ever win the lotto im fixing it up brand new and replacing the 2 tone paint job for a solid black with a silver sheen. This car has saved my life more times then i can count in the 16 years ive had it. I dont want a new car, have no interest in getting a new car, i dont car how embarrassing it looks it goes through everything. now my gas neck is rusted out and rust has gotten into my fuel line, hopping some fuel system cleaner will clear it up. just wish it was summer so i wouldnt be fixing it in -5 degree weather. I LOVE THIS CAR, it is soo much better quality then my 2008 forester that has none stop electrical problems, but that forester did get me through 16 hours of driving through 4 ft of snow, but its not my 1998 impreza outback.
Hell yeah brother. Best car a human can own.
i have the 2002 subaru impreza with a kinda rebuilt engine. with almost 200k miles. my first car. now i just cant stand driving my roomates 2019 subaru forrester
good stuff man! lol, I can just see you stopping after each shot to reposition the outside camera! XD , I know the struggle haha. liked how you cut it into a continuous sequence though, way to get out and drive, and film it for the rest of us to see!
Yaaa definitely a hassle 😂 but worth it in the end. (Sorry for the late reply have looked at this account in a while)
Great little diy video
Hell yeah dude, awesome vid! I have an OBS too that I love to rally like this. I should make a video...
Could you not try to get out? It seems like it could've made it
There was packed snow under the car that I couldn't shovel out that was keeping the tires off the ground :/
Is it electric? ☺️ Lol
Yeah! Yeah! SEGA Rally!
Nice video. I miss my red and grey obs dearly.
Me too…a year after this I had to get rid of it because of rear subframe rust that I didn’t have the money to repair
Quitter
You do it
Fuckin sick video, and props for including a fail as well
Thanks!
Dope vid my dude.
