Wee Lassie Canoe Build For Emerson
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.Год назад
Boat building video of a WEE LASSIE strip built canoe. Grandson Emerson wanted his granddad to help him build this canoe and I did. This is my sixth boat. Obviously, I have crossed over the threshold to insanity, but it was fun to do this with my grandson Emerson.
New!! Wooden geared clock
Просмотров 3712 года назад
This is my latest project that may interest some of you. This is a Clayton Boyer design, his #6 wooden geared clock. It took about 3 months for me to build but I had a lot of interruptions. The tall case is made entirely of black walnut, native Alabama wood, but some of it is veneered over ply, the base and the side panels. The gears for the clock are made of Baltic Birch. The ringed face is pl...

Ukelele by Classical Builder

This Tenor Uke was built in '06 of Bubinga sides and back with a western red cedar top, curly maple neck. I think this wood is quite spectacular, don't you?? Rarely ever played, as my wife claims it and she doesn't play at all. Not for sale.
Maloof rocker-first attempt.

Sam Maloof designed rocker, Brock plans. All Alabama Black Walnut. my first attempt at a difficult build, took 4-1/2 months. I did build about two years ago the low back dining chair, also Brock plans. I normally build musical instruments, completing #43 last year, working on #44 now, mostly classical guitars.
HOW TO MAKE A SCRAPER HANDLE

This red oak scraper handle really works wonders for holding a small scraper. A small scraper can be really tiring to hold and this simple tool handle prevents that problem.
How to make a Rolling Magnetic pickup tool

I threw this together very quickly as is obvious. I had two of those free magnetc tool holders from Harbor Freight that I believe works great for picking up those odd nails, screws either in sawdust or off the ground. Try it!! You'll like it!
Classical Guitar ----NEW!!!

New Classical guitar. This is my 39th instrument. East Indian rosewood sides and back and sitka spruce back, Mahogany neck. I am especially proud of the "falling block" rosette design. This guitar should have been completed earlier until I ran into a few problems with my health, but that is clearing quickly.

Great job
This is seriously the best canoe build narration on the internet!
That's amazing!!
I was just about to ask you whose design you used and you said it! Clayton is the man.
Beautiful. Well done.
Fantastic. Great craftsmanship
Lovely work; you made a stunning clock! The different woods are just beautiful. Thanks for making the video to share.
I love seeing this kind of excellent craftsmanship. Beautifully done. That is truly a clock that will be proudly handed down through the generations. Spectacular! Aloha. Clayton
Thank you Mr. Boyer. You are a wonderfyl designer. The clock was a great project.
Beautifully created! That is a lovely Number Six and the walnut tall case and copper drive weight look spectacular! Your excellent craftsmanship is obvious throughout this wonderful clock. Thank you for doing the Number Six plans so proud. Aloha. Clayton
Very nice! Especially like the pedicure!
Thank you! Cheers!
You should be very proud! I need to get started on my Brock plans, but Grandchildren and my bees keep me busy. It’s all good
You should!
Very nice!
looks pretty nice!
Thank you!!
This build is awesome!!
Ingenious!
Thanks, but not a totally original idea from me. But this is my take on it.
Thank you for sharing. It is so nice and looks perfect 👌. I was wondering could possibly post the parts list? I would love to have one of these but I want to make sure I do it correctly. Also do you think a store bought wooden ladder could work? Thank you. I bet your Daughter was so happy 😀
UCF Mum Thanks, but I have no plans for the pantry ladder. It's all red oak steps and rails. The steel parts are just standard steel parts that I bought at Lowes and bent after heating with a propane torch. Just drilled and bolted them on. The ball bearing rollers I found at Tractor supply. Ordinary stuff. It's been in use for several months now and they love it.
