The integration of the cable from the light of the glovebox is impossible without cutting a part of the glovebox to let enough space for the cable and clip the light. i buy carabc recently, i was soo excited to have it on my w204 c180 2012 sw , till i try it to connect with my phone on the option android auto , the problem here is the carabc doesnt recive wifi only connected by bluethooth, and the navigation module is not available, the small 1-2 buttons are up both , i try difrents ways but remains the same i just cant connect the auto android to my auto and cant see the maps , there is someone that happens this problem? pls let me know comment below and help me pls to try to figured out what is the problem Thanks

I have a same problem like @clarkay3049 I havent option "Connect via BT audio device" because my car is same like yours and software maybe is same, but 5 days i read for the problem and on the end I succeeded. You can try my way. 1. I removed smart box from becker slot I go to Settings on Bluetooth and inactive, i remove MB bluetooth of my phone and off bluetooth on my phone. 2. I activated the bluetooth on my car on Settings. 3. I go to Audio, go to Bluetooth and deauthorized all devices (how deauthorized - going on old devices like your phone with the MB controler on central consol and move on your right have a additionally menu i not look this menu) 4. I put the smart box on becker slot. 5. Now on Audio, Bluetooth have option only Update but dont push button Update and now with the MB controler on central consol, move on your right have a additionally menu there have option external authorization chose the external authorization and on this way I connect my smart box with my car after i connect my phone only with smart box bluetooth not with my car. Good luck!

hmm yes.. i bought one of these units in becker module, inserted into a 2014 Mercedes NGT4.5 system, all works via the phone bluetooth connection however the bluetooth connection to the car system DOES NOT WORK. You get a constant failure to accept the passcode generated by the car, and the unit is not authorised by the car system so it wont pass audio and the USB to play media is useless. There is no alternative method to do it. All processes described are followed but it appears to be unsolvable, recent research shows many people having this issue.

For anyone (like me) that is quite tech savvy but still couldnt get the unit to work properly. Here is the way to do it on a Mercedes RTG4.5 unit. Firstly, the key point to understand is that when using it, this unit becomes the communication device and sits between the phone and car in all communications. You have to not allow the phone to directly Bluetooth to the car unless you disconnect and or remove the unit. Select Audio / Bluetooth devices, previously paired devices should be displayed, and delete / deauthorise the phone/device that is previously paired/authorised. Install the unit into the becker cradle and let it power up. Go into Audio/ BT Audio and search for Bluetooth devices. The unit will come up as AUTOABC... select it and authorise it. The RTG4.5 unit will send an authorisation code, click 'yes', and it will check profiles and then confirm the unit has been accepted and authorised. If it does not, and comes back with 'rejected', check that no other Bluetooth device is connected to the car, and delete/deauthorise and repeat the above. Now start Bluetooth on your phone, and search for Bluetooth devices, you will see AUTOABC... select connect. Do not allow the phone to connect to the car listed. The unit also (for some reason) wants a wifi connection on the phone active so turn that on, according to the instructions. Need to test whether it is actually needed. Now Pres NAVI button on the RTG4.5 and you will see the blue AUTOABC unit menu, if you select AutoAndroid it loads the phone interface and you will see Navi maps and the apps. You can exit this at any time and go to USB and play media from the USB. I have tried a 64Gb and a 128 Gb stick and they work. I have noted that if you have BBC Sounds and other media player it may start this automatically (on my phone), so you may want to stop those. You can flick back between the other car media buttons for radio, CD, and media player after install. Obviously the phone needs to be used through this unit and the TEL function will not work directly. One thing to note is that as the phone and unit are communicating all the time the battery will drain faster than normal so best to use a phone charger. Hopefully that sorts a few issues for people as the instructions are not 100% clear. cheers
