When I was learning to play,I learned to play the instrument, not a style or genre. Hopefully this channel represents the diverse range of music that I have been asked to play over the years,and can be of some educational use for drummers starting on their journey,or for the entertainment of drummers that may be of a "certain vintage" who long for the "good old days" when it was a basic requirement to be able to sit down and play anything! For the love of music, drums and drummers, but always Just For Fun!! Thank you all for subscribing and liking these videos.

Changed the heads and did some tuning. Remo Ambassador coated top and bottom, loving the sound of these drums! Remo Fiberskyn on the Powertone snare drum. just for fun in the rehearsal room!!

Hi, thank you for contacting me. I'm using Remo Emperor Suede heads on the Tom's batter side, and Ambassador coated on the resonant side. And a coated Ambassador on the batter side of the snare. Ambassador hazy reso on the snare.

Lovely playing, very stylish but nicely in the pocket. What brushes are those?
Thank you for the kind comment. These are Regal Tip Ultra Flex nylon brushes. I prefer these to traditional wire brushes because they don't leave black dirt marks on the drum head, which in turn transfers to other drums and cymbals.
That was fun. Wonderful stick sound on the ride. Did you feather the bass drum throughout?
Thank you, yes, I do try to feather the bass drum, but sometimes incorporate it in some phrasing. Thank you for your kind comment.

Well, When you hit the snare twice. I thought it was usu. started with a right. I tried it but never seemed to sound right. It's a fill in used in some C.C.R. tunes. You got some good chops there dude. @@kevthejazzer

Thank you for the kind comment. I agree, of course! The drums are wonderful! I use a bass drum mic, and one overhead going into a mini mixer, which in turn goes directly into my camera, a Zoom Q8. I have had to work on the tones and balance, but I'm pleased with the results. All the best!

That was great Kev! Love the pattern, flow, and groove of that. You made it look easy... and it sounded effortless. The tuning really struck me... as well as your light and relaxed foot work, on both counts. Yet this is definitely solo powerful. Really inspiring. Grabbed my listening as much as Gadd's "Late in the Evening" pattern 40 years ago. Thank you for sharing this one.
