There are actually 2 consoles, one on each side. The pipes and equipment are on a separate floor that covers a whole city block.

Tim is a highlight of the theatre organ world. In addition to his involvement on the both the national ATOS board and the CICATOS board, he also does everything he can to welcome new people into the theatre organ world. I can say for a fact that if it weren't for Tim, I wouldn't be involved with ATOS or CIC. I feel incredibly privileged to call him a friend.

What a Treat to listen to this interview with Donna Parker .My wife & I many years ago went to the Pizza Palace in Indy. to eat pizza & listen to Donna Parker play that wonderful organ. We were on the road traveling for 6 years . Spent our years in the winter in Fla. found that that same Theater Organ had been moved from Indy. to Bradenton Fla.Went there to hear our wonderful Pizza Paramount organ again played but not by Donna Parker. Anyway we were blessed with the music from the one instrument we really enjoyed hearing. I have been retired now for 36 years & at this time in my remaining life I am setting here typing this while listening to a live interview . I will be having another birthday coming up 6-25-1931 , this is TRULY A SPECIAL TREAT for me. I have You on U Tube loaded now with many of my favorite songs I have played all my life . Just found this one I play every day NOW of Donna Parker at the Paramount Palace Pizza Organ in Indianapolis, In.I simply love playing THE STARS & STRIPES FOREVER , I get chills every time she plays it . I have a wonderful sound system here in my apt. I bet they hear it downtown for sure. Thank you so much Donna Parker you have for sure made my day today and the best BD I could possibly have , just wish I had my loving wife here with me at this time. We enjoyed your talents so much on that organ.

The pinnacle of the Wurlitzer companies achievement in organ building. Why Radio city music hall creator's chose to partially hide the console, almost as an after thought of where to put it/them and they are also quite bland too? Thankfully there is nothing bland about the quality of the instruments sound, this is truly a beauty! And i believe the largest specification offered by Wurlitzer, with everything they made thrown in? For someone with an open cheque book.

Did it move to the United Center? I recall games there and especially loved when Canadian teams were in town and they back-to-backed the two national anthems. As to stadium construction, none of the old hockey/basketball arenas are left but at least we have Wrigley and Fenway and maybe, MAYBE, Dodger Stadium in Chavez Ravine. Nothing like it....the old fieldhouse in Madison for UW....same thing....athletes and owners each make too much $$ to allow any such construction any longer.

I enjoyed this. In recent years when my wife and I have gone to the RCMH Christmas show to relive our childhoods I have been consistently disappointed with the organ performance. Sadly, first rate theater organists are a nearly vanished art. And I'm REALLY disappointed that the recording of RCMH organists Dick Leibert and Raymond Bohr aren't (have never been?) available on CD. You can find them but only on their original vinyl.

Once called Walt Strony to relate how great his interpretation of “It Happened In Monterey” is; unfortunately I heard it while serving in Korea ( US Army, circa 2004) on the NPR show Pipedreams through a computer whose sound card was distorting and caused me to misdescribe a section of the music! Always wanted to apologize to him!
