It's been hell for me lately with cardiophobia and panic. Lots of palpitations and arms feeling weird. Getting a Holter monitor test for reassurance and I'm hoping it's enough to calm me down this time.. i bought into the conspiracy that the Vax can cause arythmias and afib and have foolishly convinced myself I have it despite it not being detected yet.. I think that You're a true angel and a warrior. I hope to be so strong but God it's hard and draining 😪

This video was so comforting to watch. I’ve had health anxiety/ OCD since I was a child and it’s only gotten worse when I developed cardiophobia. A couple years ago I became suicidal because of health anxiety and recently last year I almost fell into that same dark hole. It’s so hard to open up about it bc I’ve been invalidated about it in the past. I know I’m not alone but it’s genuinely one of the most isolating things I’ve experienced.

People need to stop calling it anxiety. Anxiety is the result not the cause. This is aptly named hypochondria or the more politically correct health anxiety. This isn’t always your body’s natural reaction to anxiety, in hypochondria, it’s your body’s unnatural reaction to your own suggestions and erroneous beliefs, coupled with a learned automatic physical response

I've developed health anxiety, specially cardiophobia after my first ever panic attacks i had the previous summer 2021. It got a bit worse after going through Covid again last October, when i started to feel some chest discomfort and 1 in 2 ECK i did i eas found with a little arrhythmia. All my bloodwork and check ups came back normally fine (except cholesterol being slightly more than the limit). However, reading or listening different cases of heart diseases as an after covid symptom and/or many sudden heart attacks even to young people, it's freaking me out. To be honest, I'm not then same person as i used to be before my panic attacks and i think i won't ever be.

I 100% feel this, I've witnessed multiple traumatic events involving my mom one where I saw her on an ice bed unconscious in the icu bc she had cardiac arrest (they weren't sure if she was gonna make it she did tho). And now I have so much fear around doctors which sucks bc I'm type 1 diabetic and have to see one every 4 months lol. Luckily I have the sweetest endo bc after the first few times of going there and telling the nursed about my blood pressure anxiety my endo decided he'd be the one to take my blood pressure. And he'd kinda casually and sneakily do it while talking to me😭 the worst thing ever was getting an echocardiogram and hearing and seeing my heart swish on the screen, wanted to cry honestly. So glad I'm not alone with the fear of tests being done

Go to a quite place or turn off any sound when you have breathing problems and away from music. i find that sound makes it harder for me to concentrate on breathing.

Hi how are you just checking ur ok :)? Im suffering heart healt anxiety and have been having palpitations for the past three yeats recently ive started having panick attacks and having slow heart rates at 54 bpm at rest sometimes 85 bpm at rest i even had a heart rate of 58 bpm whilst excersizing which is scary and makes no sense cause my heart shouldn't be slow when moving. I notice a tight throat sensation and i have that at the same when i have a slower heart rate so i checked my blood pressure when ever i felt the tight sensation and it said my blood pressure was risen when ever i had atighter feeling in the throat area. So that's made me think my blood pressure is risen cause I'm anxious so i need to work on lowering my blood pressure but the issue with that is my blood pressure is naturally low anyway around 105/65

I have been a half marathon runner in my past.. now I was not able to climb a 100 steps feeling worried about pulpitation until last week when I decided to climb 1000 steps and decided not to focus on my heart or body ... Initially I felt my heart raising but I convinced myself that heart beat will raise as it is the body's nature to adjust to the work I'm doing i tried to focus on to the things around me and talking /listening to friends...(there was only one person who knew about my problem and others were not aware) i finally claimed the steps with all touching my body now and then.... But i did climb the steps.... Second day we decided to climb again and it was lot easier than first day and and also it also gave me good sleep

My symptoms: 1. Shifting chest pain 2. Heart palpitations (I can hear my heart beat in my neck and sometimes in the centre my chest) 3. Chest pain with heart palpitations (the moment I have chest pain, within 2-5 secs palpitations start) 4. Tingling sensations and pricking sensation in my wrist , back And feet 5. Chest pain radiating to the hands 6. Heartburn 7. Acid reflux (rare symptoms) 8. Muscle tension 9. Panic attacks and breathless (usually after having fights with my family members) 10. Chest tightness 11. Hypertension 12. Cramps in the lower and upper abdomen 13. Ear getting blocked I did 3 ECGs, echocardiogram, endoscopy, sugar test, blood test, thyroid test, utrasound, c.t scan. All reports are normal... Now finally after 1 month of fear and struggling I have started to accept that I'm physically fine, and it's just anxiety

I am 64. At 16 my father died suddenly from a heart attack. I mention my age for a good reason, as you'll see. I had panic attacks at age 17, convinced I was dying of a heart attack. I went to a cardiologist who told me it was because of a mitral valve leak. Back then technology was primitive and Dr's being Dr's were sure at some point soon I'd need a valve replacement. Back then they didn't even discuss or know anything about panic attacks. Well, years later my thyroid went out (Graves disease) and I went into atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation convinced me that the heart can beat erratic as hell and you'll be fine. 6 months it lasted and was actually more helpful than not. Recent testing on my heart (per Dr's insistence) showed that all 3 of my valves have a minor regurgitation. No, don't need valve replacement, but explains many of the mild pains, the rapid pulses and many things. Not to mention that this covid lockdown has a huge impact on our monkey minds to devise all sorts of bad thoughts. Our thoughts about our health are literally unlimited in scope. We are what we think, at least in the moment. And yes, thoughts of our fears can bring on pain, indistinguishable from actual physical pain. Perhaps I had both, I don't know. Also, recommend you not mention "Trigger warning", as that is just spreading a fear and you maybe accepting responsibility for other's fears. Allow others to decide whether they want to view your video, you are not responsible to censor content. Yes, I know your intentions were good. This is part of the hysteria being transferred in our culture today. Yes, I was a psycho-therapist for many years, and trigger warnings are for children, not adults. It's called censoring by the parent per age. Doesn't mean you have to talk about what disturbs you, and you don't need the extra burden of self-censoring which leads to increased anxiety. It just adds an additional loop to the viscous cycle AND a marketing draw for those who attract to the words themselves. Negative, scary stuff. I never thought I'd hit this age, was convinced I'd die young, yet am physically active and will probably die from something I never thought of. Humans have a very poor guage for risk assessment. To all you younger people, take note: I've been there, and am in very good physical health at 64. Thank you.

I'm 17 and I think I've started to have cardiophobia recently. I can't find why though. I've had panick attacks for years, but I had a really big one not long ago. I then had an ECG, said everything was normal. My heart is healthy, but I can't stop worrying about it. I'm focused on it, sometimes I feel like it beats strangely and then I start to panick. I can't calm my heart palpitations, so I don't really sleep. I hope it'll get better, I send you all my force to get through whatever you're going through.
