Yep, 1993-1999 the best time of my life. I love Hardcore even it didn’t called Hardcore yet. In 1993 began the real gabber scene in my familytown Rotterdam in the Energiehal. If you didn’t have experienced that you’ve missed the best time. When we got out of the train and the doors went open an army of gabbers in Aussies, nikes, bomberjacks and bold shaved heads and girls with hair pulled back tightly in a ponytail walking down the stairs. I remember the faces of the oardinary people who walked by. You saw the fear in their faces and there was nothing to be scared about. We came to party all night long. There was nothing special about the stage with the dj boot and there were some strobes and simple other lights. No fancy decors and fireworks. There were walls of speakers. I didn’t care about the looks. I cared about the pounding hard sound. You felt the building shaking. The music, the drugs, the brotherhood and hakkuh was so intense. No fighting except a few maybe. Everybody was on the same level. talking to strangers. Making friends and became one with the music. I call it the tunnelvision. Everything around me dissapeared. It was me and the music and hakkuh. Like a trance. Everybofy was dancing. It’s hard to explain that feeling. We call it gabberheaven. Now there is a new generation. Hardcore isn’t dead. It is still ali e and that generation have now their moments of joy with hardcore. But I can tell you for sure because I still go to hardcore festivals that I can tell you with al the finery and the fancy shows itwill never shall and can’t be compared with the old days. Does anyone has a time travel machine 🤪🤩😚🤗
