Yateley Match Lake Diaries
This film covers my recent short session fishing on the Yateley Match lake. It was filmed and edited by myself, using a Go Pro and basic editing software. Hopefully producing a raw, honest diary style fishing film. Its been a massive learning process and I hope you enjoy.

Просмотров 11 тыс.Год назад
This is the first of That Aint No Bream videos. The following film shows my short stalking campaign for Shoulders, the largest Carp in Yateley Copse Lake. Fishing short Morning and Evening sessions between Mid March to Mid April. It was my first go at filming, just using a Go Pro 10 and a basic editing software. I am pleased with the result I hope you enjoy.
CWA Long Lake BBQ Linear with Simon Croft equalling Lake Record at 50lb 8oz.

A short clip of CWA Long Lake BBQ Linear with Simon Croft at 50lb 8oz. The third fish caught on Simon's two night Birthday session. This one landed on the 26.04.2023. A few shows in a neglected swim had Si moving swim. Baits despatched a few rod lengths out in deep water proved on the money, as he had two takes in a day with a 20lb Common and a 50lb Mirror. Yateley Uncovered
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.2 года назад
We just had to have this footage on the Channel. Yateley Uncovered filmed by Richard Spencer (Odd) during the 2002/2003 season. I love the close season filming in this old VHS video. I know it was not easy to film and Odd spent many a hour down there persevering with this. It was well worth the effort and made for a great bit of film. Odd also managed to film all the 9 Car Park Originals on the...
Steve Fudge - Yateley Complex - Bazil, Arfur & Heather.
Просмотров 14 тыс.5 лет назад
The following five minute edit, shows the end result of hundreds of nights in pursuit of Yateleys largest carp. Catching Bazil was a mega achievement, but to me catching all three was the ultimate goal, doing the triple as I called it. When I slipped the net under Heather in June 2006 it was with mixed emotions. Elated to have achieved it, but sad the quest was over. I hope you enjoy the film, ...
Awesome old footage 🎣💪😎
Fudgetastic 👌🏻💪🏻
It’s nice to see the enthusiasm of someone catching carp of all sizes and still throughly enjoying his fishing (And this young man has caught his fair share of big carp) Keep up the good work
Great bit of fishing as always Fudgy. 👍
Fantastic, some lovely old fish there. The Match is my all-time favourite lake, I've not walked round there in years though. There certainly seems to be more slugs in there these days, I never caught one from there (thankfully). I can still picture seeing the big ghosty right at my feet one day standing in the Gate swim, never had the honour of catching it though
Great video Steve top angling as always mate look forward to seeing more !!
Mega bit of angling mate and another great video 👌
Absolute brilliant film thank you for sharing Merry Christmas
I'm actually bored of sitting in a bivvy these days for 24 hours lugging loads of gear about. I wish I had the waters to fish this style more, its my favourite way to catch them. Even better when people don't follow you about and watch your every move 😂
I was very secretive baiting up and filming captures. But In fairness, credit the the guys down there for not jumping in the plot.
Awesome 👍 To get something going on a busy lake like that is one thing, but to do it with short sessions is a credit to you, congrats 👏👏
Awesome angling again , just shows on limited time a bit of planning you can achieve probably better results than bivieing up all year. Can't wait for your next mission
Reckon the 18 mirror you had in the 1st year was an original tbf
I think it was the Dungeness fish. Moved to the match in the 90s. Technicaly not an original but an old Carp.
Turns out your right, Stumpy Leather.
👍
Great stuff 👏 Your passion and generosity (in sharing your approach and results) shine through and are enjoyable to watch. As an angler who only joined FAS earlier this year - for the general pleasure fishing - and has only had two or three looks at the Yateley lakes, the amount of water, never mind history, feels daunting. Add the fact I’ve got match fishing roots and haven’t done any serious carping since my 20s and I really assumed I’d have to leave those lakes to the hardcore addicts who can spend a season getting to know one water. But having watched your vids you might just have inspired me to give the prebaiting and margin approach a go in the future. I have subbed! Cheers
Wanted to show you don't need to live at the lake to still get results. Just the comment I wanted. Thanks so much.
@@thataintnobream Yeah, that’s what I loved about it - really showed that it’s still good old watercraft, research, dedication to some spots and timing (plus a load of experience and skill in your case!) that can pay off. No need to own a camping outfit and have three day weekends at your disposal, which can often feel the case to a keen pleasure angler taking a look at such famous waters. I wish I lived a touch closer (Woking is half an hour’s drive) but I could see myself applying this approach elsewhere too. Thanks again - really inspiring stuff and love the fact you’re not even on two rods most of the time, never mind three. Like me, you’ll hopefully discover that YouTubing and sharing your knowledge and experiences can be really rewarding - I started fitting it in around work and family 18 months ago and can’t believe where it’s taken me (even if it’s still strictly a hobby).
@themagicoffishing Thanks for your kind words. Since becoming a father I have given up night fishing. Did not want to stop catching big Carp so just worked even harder at my edge fishing. Loving it even more now.
Mate you still have the gift of catching, So Many questions, how do you go about choosing swims to bait , what pellets are you using and how much boile ratio What rod you using, breaking strain line Sorry for so many questions you made it look easy thanks for sharing 🙏
having fished it back in the 90's you must of thought wtf when you went back? fas and bareass butchered the place early days (2013). shes grown on ok now though although i moved across the road to the ywf and north lake. great video mate, all the best.
