If I send in a card that appears to be perfect but has one dot or smudge on the card that doesn’t come off. Is it worth sending in? Will a card like the one you were showing with a smudge ever have a chance at a PSA 10 if the smudge didn’t come off?

You could assess all 4 of these areas and still get a low grade because……. Who knows….. it’s all a crapshoot based on some human subjective opinion. You’ll have better luck rollin’ the dice at a casino. The game is rigged against us normal collectors. However, the big players and influencers pay under the table to get their 10s, then pop control keeps everything in check. It’s all rigged.

How do you feel about cards that are in very good condition but with one defect. Say for example a centered card with sharp corners, good edges, but one small/medium surface scratch?

Grading is a scam. A simple toploader or one-touch will preserve your cards. Don' t waste your money on grading. Buy more cards instead.

Can you adjust between US and Canadian values, depending on where you are and where possible buyer is? For instance, I live in US, and want to know if it would be more profitable to market to US or Canadian buyers.

Hey, I’m hoping someone can answer my question. I have a very large collection of vintage baseball cards and in looking at the sales online it looks like RAW cards can sell as much as a graded 3, 4 or 5. My question is, if I’ve got lower tier VINTAGE is it still worth grading them or as far as value goes do you just keep it raw? And if you do it is it better to get a numerical grade or an “authentic” grade for the poor condition cards?

To hell with grading, it's just a gimmick in order for the hobby to flourish. Don't worry about the value, collect for the fun of it

So I'm laid up out of work n I finally got my collection to my house from my folks. I'll found derek jeter topps gold RC. Barry sanders score Rc. Barry bonds RC topps. 7 topps bo Jackson rookies. Dale Murphy reverse negative. I have the fuck face card. Chipper Jones rookies. Jose Canseco rookies. The griffey UD rookie. A bunch of the donruss error cards from 1990. I'm trying to figure out this grading thing because these cards are high value cards. But not sure

What if you have a numbered card and only the number is off center. Would that also affect the grade?

Also remember, when you send your card to PSA, despite admitting you had no damage on THEIR INTAKE PICTURES, when they damage your card, they WILL NOT take care of it. So, when they screw up your 1986 Fleer Jordan with a fingernail mark and knock it from what was a BGS 9.5 down to a 6, they'll tell you to pound sand. Again, an intake form is the picture they take to keep themselves out of trouble. But, if they get in trouble, they'll just tell you to pound sand. Good luck finding a lawyer that specializes in this.

I have to correct one thing he said: “even if you think it’s a 10, there’s a small chance it can come back as a 9.” It seems like PSA has some active pop control and they are handing out 9s on perfect cards.

So what about cards that are graded,,, broken out of their holders and re-submitted and throwing off Total counts of that card by the Grading Companies. So now Companies have wrong counts because of multiple re-submissions. ??????????????????????

I would grade my cards if they didn't up-charge on estimated value. It's the exact same grading process for a $10 card or a $10,000 card.
