Last June 6, I went on a 4-hour ride-along with Officer Lemos. He had to deal with a few cases of bad behavior and calls for service. I was impressed with how Kevin (and the other officers who came later as backup) professionally handled the sitations with empathy, kindness, and fairness. Kevin is a very nice guy with a good heart. Afterwards, I felt very safe and proud to live here in Sunnyvale. We also talked about a number of issues, including the difficulty of situations where you have to make a very fast decision on how to handle cases where things could quickly go out of control. I do not envy him nor any other officer who has to deal with that kind of circumstance. Unfortunately, this incident is a tragedy and my soul reaches out to console and comfort all of those involved.

Gee, the call says he was naked but he wasn't. Reminds me of the time a naked male with a sword was threatening people on Christmas day on Bennington ave. in the 60's. One cop shot at the guy but he moved and another cop was shot instead. At least this cop didn't miss this time and didn't hit his partner.

I love to become a police officer .. go to academy and get my badge and work 24/7 on duty police officer .. if I have a badge it mean I got something that I can work with now in my life. A badge means a lot to her and me. Oh yeah my sister wants to become a police officer too. the city needs me and I need them too .. plus I know there is a lot of great benefits like meeting people and getting to know them better than ever before .. I would love to share all my time specially to women because I love my wife, daughter and mother. Women are the power of the future I believe. Together we can make a better future. One time I saw a teenage girl that was lost and she was visiting my city and I pointed out the way to her map destination.

Will there be grade separation for the bike paths on Evelyn and Mary? I would feel safer riding to the Steven’s Creek trail with some separation from the cars going 50mph.

City street sweepers come a little after 7 AM the last few years. Not only do they wake people up, but they can't very well sweep the street, as the cars haven't left to go to work yet. I keep earplugs next to my bed the last few years as the early-morning gardeners and the near-incessant construction and aircraft noise make it harder and harder to experience quiet times. First came to Sunnyvale 1980, it was quiet then and nobody called it "Noisyvale".
