@KMDTech any advice/video on setting-up an Encrypted Shared DATA volume partition, accessible by both the dual boot encrypted Linux and Windows systems. Is Veracrypt a more secure alternative option, if we don't trust Bitlocker keys for the shared Data volume, stored in the Microsoft cloud? (I prefer to store backups of my keys in a physical offline Safe or private cloud).

NOTE: you may have turned Windows BITLOCKER and in Bios SECURE BOOT to OFF, prior to following this sucessful Encrypted Dual boot setup. Afterwards, remember to reapply Windows Bitlocker, (record its Key for entry later) and switch SECURE BOOT in the BIOS back ON. Otherwise you you'll be asked to enter the bitlocker key every time you launch Windows. You may have to renter the bitlocker key once after making the above change.

During the last part where I'm booting into windows, the shell says "EFI\Microsoft\Boot\Bootmgfw.efi is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or script file". I am running windows 10 if that has something to do with it, but from some very quick research it seems like its maybe? a problem with systemd-boot. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? (Also, fantastic video! I have been trying to do this for so long and this was THE video I found the very best. Thank you <3 )

In Ksk Royal's video here on RUclips (called "How to Dual Boot Pop OS 22.04 LTS and Windows 11 2023 (EASIEST WAY)") he suggests using systemd instead of grub, and says that grub will go away soon and that systemd allows windows updates in the future without breaking the system. These were the reasons he chose systemd instead of grub when dual-booting. Is this true and (if so), can you perhaps show us how you dual-boot CachyOS+Win11 using systemd instead of grub? :)

can the unflagging win-system efi also be done in Gparted app instead of thru terminal ? BTW when installing Windows 11, it makes no new 100MB system efi partition in case there already exists a efi/boot system partition from a linux install - Win11 install will use that and convert it into a Windows system efi/boot partition, that may throw out Linux efi bootloader properties

Thanks! this worked excellently! Clear, no fluff, step by step instructions. After creating the Linux UEFI and installing Linux, remember to CHECK THE BOOT ORDER in BIOS to promote the newly created Linux uefi to boot first.

Bro thank you soooo much. Btw you can also install Ubuntu on a fresh disk using bro's method. Just connect a disk with windows os (say, ssd) to your computer and follow the steps bro showed and create the partitions and efi and then when it say to install instead of selecting manual install choose to install on the empty disk and voila, you are good to go! Thank you very much! It worked for me along with Windows 10. I had to make these adjustments: Changed the BIOS from legacy to UEFI and disabled fast boot (before installing Windows and Linux) Also had to install Linux Mint in compatibility mode due to the install freezing apparently caused by the Nvidia graphics card. I updated the Nvidia driver afterwards when prompted after the install. I hope someone else might find this useful if struggling to get it to work.

6:00 Oh darn, does that mean any extra partitions on the same disk allocated for games/movies etc will also be deleted/complete quickformat or just the C:, EFI and recovery partitions in your example? I have my 400GB windows partition and a separate 1.5GB partition allocated for games/movies on the same 2TB disk.
