Просмотров 11 тыс.4 года назад
Partial restoration of my Pontiac Bonneville 1965 after purchase. Engine reseal, Transmission reseal and check, all moving parts overhaul and reseal, frame repair and repaint, partial body repair, aircon and heating check and reseal. Restoration took place from 24 of October 2018 to 15th March 2019. I was doing it as a hobby in my free time (weekends and nights :) ).

Mom and dad this exact car ,mom totaled it in 69 then got a 69 grand prix
Is’t for sale.
No.
Mid sixties Pontiacs were the BEST. Long, sleak, powerful land yacths.
Job well done; she's a beauty.
Wrong enige color mvh Walle
😀👍 I drove my 1972 FORD LTD convertible from London to Prague in 2004......and mosrly in rain, so top did not came down all journey. 🤪
Beautiful , one of the nicest cars of the 60s. 👍👍👍😎🇸🇪💕
Very informative video.
Nice!
That's right give 'em plants some carbon. They need it.
Where that rust was at why didn't he just cut it out and replace it with new sheet metal put putting bondo Or covering it up with fiberglass in a rusthole is half assness at its worst.
Sure I cut whole rust piece out and welded a new sheet stain less steel metal sheet. Than putted bondo to cover welding. If I were in states I would order a new fender, but to get one here in europe or ship here is costly and hard to manage.
@@tomasrenzor I'm in the process of doing some touch up body work on my 68 Mustang. When I did major Restoration on the car whatever rust It was in the car it was cut out even if it was just a small area because It will become a major problem down the road if not done. I replaced the whole floor Pan the toe board and the tail light panel and what little bit of rust in the lower rear quarter panels. My dad had a body shop when I was in high school and He was a retired command sergeant major and And he did not accept shitty work.
Great job! Couldn’t you find a bigger car to do? Lol. My mom had a triple black one in ‘65! They were one beautiful car ! Enjoy!!
Perfect, do just what's needed and get her back on the road.

What a majestic car!!👍
Nice job no stone on turned I like original steering wheel better perfer stock gauges but still beautiful job really nice job on that under carriage I mean it's frame off I wouldn't call a partial restoration you can see my car is all original Great job.
Thank you. I keep all the original parts like steering wheel safe on the shelf, but for driving I preffer smaller and rougher steering wheel. Original gauges are still present I only add oil pressure and water temp to be sure all is working as it should, still this lady is 56years old :).
What a difference you made to this car, very enjoyable video. I have 1968 Buick Wildcat, very similar.
Awesome restoration!!!
Aller jusqu'au bout de son projet, super boulot. J'aurais fais ce projet un peu différemment, mais avec d'autre moyen, encore bravo , super!
For a Minnesota car she was in great shape!
It was repainted from outside in 2012 so that helped a lot, but the mechanical.stuff was untouch.
Great partial restoration you've done on this Bonneville. Good to have help on such a job! (@8:12 lol ) My dad owned the Canadian version of this car in the 60's and it's good to see one of these receiving the care they deserve! :)
There was NO Canadian version . Parisienne was the "sister" to the Catalina .
@@derekcrymble9085 I never said that my dad owned a Parisienne. You should never ass/u/me!
@@bobjohnson205 None of the Canadian cars were related to the American cars . They used USA frames and engines . Canadian cars used Chevrolet frames and engines .The "long tailed" Bonneville was not sold in Canada in 65 . DO YOUR RESERCH . THERE WAS NO CANADIAN VERSION OF THIS CAR .
Nice job on the restoration and documenting it! What country do you live in? I have a 1965 Bonneville as well. Has a long way to go before looking as nice as yours - you can check out one of my videos here ruclips.net/video/FYApgpK0pIU/видео.html
Thank you. I'm from Slovakia. Assuming that you are from states, that would be much easier to get all the parts.
Great video enjoyed the whole thing. I have the same car I hope to have it looking as good as yours someday.
Nice to see another one in germany ... enjoyed your restoration video .. soo much work and a long way ..and finally money and time but it`s always worth .. hereS mine 65 Bonneville i owned since 2006 ... and now im just restoration a 65 Bonneville convertible .. ruclips.net/video/ipJLIyBPs5E/видео.html
Thank you, I enjoyed working on it and the result is the satisfaction, she drives perfect after this technical help, I'm considering also doing the paint job, but after few years, currently the paint is OK, only the skirt alignment is not so perfect. I saw your video, was also a big project more metal work than I have to do on mine. Share also the convertible story if you find some time.
Nice car Tomas!
