      yes but there are different kinds, for this technique (from what i know) is usually recommended dental plaster since its not as hard as plaster paris

    Can I ask how you clean the plate after printing and its sealed?

      if the ink is oil based you remove it with oil, if its water based remove with water and soap. for cast i believe oil ink is recommended since youre using water for the plaster mix

    Thank you! It’s really fantastic! Thank you also for not editing the video it makes your explanations very clear as we can see live how the inks works on the wooden plate

    Thank you very much for showing this. It's given me lots of ideas to think about. I enjoy exploration into linoprint and this is really interesting for developing it further and combining the two together. I do hope the ink I use for lino printing might work: Lawrence/Cranfield traditional relief.

    Hi, I'm really enjoying your videos on Mokulito - most detailed I've found. You may have mentioned this at some point but, once the litho design has degraded, can the wood be sanded down and used as a plate again? Thank you.

    Lovely videos! There is a real lack of info about this process online so great to see :) I teach mokulito up here in Yorkshire so I will direct my students to your videos. I'd love to see the results of your trials with end-grain blocks.

    Hello Mary, I am loving your series of experimental and hybrid printmaking videos. Remembering to play and have fun with mark making is so important. Good luck with your crowdfunding and community work.

    Great to see all the different marks from the various materials - I didn't know about the oil (was that veg oil?) or some specific oil. I also didn't realise you could make marks with the lithographic ink as well. I dont have that but might try a bit of intaglio ink (oil based) and I will also try some Akua intaglio ink (Soya oil based) . I would like to see this print a little closer up ........the spatter marks were nice too.

    Thank you so much for this - oh what fun !! I have been wanting to have a go at wood litho for ages - I think it will happen soon as you have inspired me !!! bye the way - did you 'treat' the birch plywood before this mark-making stage - which I am really enjoying?

    • @washroompress8365
      @washroompress8365 3 года назад

      Hello Aine, no did not treat the ply wood. I know some treat it with milk or similar products. I am trying to see what can be achieved with as little input into the material as possible. I only lightly sanded the ply, but no treatment. Mary
