Sofa Side Table - Rick's Woodworking

Need a spot for you Drink and the side of your couch or sofa? Maybe have some space for a few pictures or other items? How about a Sofa Side Table? Using a couple of 2x6's you can quickly make this table in about 3 days. A bit more challenging than just screwing things together, this table uses Mitre Joints and Dados to achieve a clean look.
Simple Patio Table You Can Build in a Weekend
Просмотров 243Год назад
Here is a Table you can build in a weekend with some basic woodworking tools. Using just 6 2x6's and 2 2x4's it is also an economical build. I could have built it in a day and then stained it once assembled, but I decided to stain some of the inner surfaces first to make sure I go complete coverage. Though for outside, I used non-treated wood so that you did not have to be worried about chemica...
Garage Door as a Light

If you work in your garage, you may find that there isn't enough light under the garage door. I had that problem, so I decided to add LED light along the door beams. Trimming White Oak to make the sides of a Tankard
Просмотров 1132 года назад
I was asked by someone to cut some strips of white oak 8 inches long and 2 and a half inches wide with a 22.5 degree angle or bevel between the pieces. This time on Rick's Woodworking we are building an extension to my table saw's rip fence. Lumber Prep Sled
Просмотров 1192 года назад
When working with Hardwoods, you will usually get them from a lumber mill or supplier in "rough cut" form. This means that edges will not be smooth or straight. You can use a jointer to clean that up, but a lot of times it is faster to just trim them on your table saw to get that smooth straight edge. The problem is that with all the sides uneven, how do you get a straight edge from the Rip Fen...

I have done some smaller items and it works fairly well. I am still making adjustments to the Frame to get the best cut possible. Yes, my best takeaway from your video was using a clamp underneath to hold my support stand to the table saw. My Delta contractor table saw does not have space to hook over the guide rail for the fence. Like your setup, my support sits on the rail and now clamps underneath. Thanks to your video, I spotted a better way to hold my support in place. Thanks!
