there is a long rumer that the land on which regina beach sits was cursed by the indigenous people at one time in history,i remember my grandfather built all the basics of a nice summer cottage in the 60s but then just quit and he refused to do anymore building on the cottage and he would not come back to the cottage ,i remember when i was a boy staying at the cottage for one to two months each summer, i was actually a very sensitive kid at that time and i remember many times when i was just starting to go to sleep and then i was just get bolt upright and start screaming at the top of my lungs i would totally scream my head off that there was something that was trying to take me and that it was coming,i still remember that vividly to this day.there also used be a large fancy hotel right across the road from the cottage and the weekends would be especially raucous and noisey at that hotels outdoor bar at night,and an image of a completely pitch black balloon like a huge medicine ball actually appeared in front of my eyes and it was blowing up with a loud hissing sound and at the apex of it, that balloon actually blew with a loud thunderous boom! and immediately all the lights in regina beach went out and the people at the hotel bar started yelling and the women were screaming and that boom was heard all through the beach at that particular night by the way!!
