It's Chinese New Year again. People are buying things to decorate their homes, rooms, offices, etc. On Chinese Year's Eve, members of a family come together and have a good feast. It's a time for people to make wishes for better fortunes in the year ahead, hoping to get raised, promoted, new opportunities, love. Hope you like the video. More videos will come.

This is the second part 2 of the series. In a Chinese New Year vacation, lion dance is a traditional entertainment wishing for good fortunes, so in the new year people will hopefully get raised, better opportunities, find love, get promoted, etc. More to come in the next video........

This was my last day in Japan. The Nebuta Festival of Aomori is an yearly event of parades depicting historical or fictional events. Large floating bodies are made to resemble famous people in Japanese history. The exhibition was fun and colorful, but I had to go home. So, see you next time. Cheers.

After 1-hour walk along the Oirase river, I came back to the Towada lake. The water looked tranquil and blue. I had a coffee while enjoying the natural scenery. I even had a nice lunch in a local restaurant at the lake.

This video was shot in the 5th day of my 2nd trip. Lake Towada (十合田湖) area is surrounded by a dense mixed forest with the Oirase river (奧入瀨溪) streaming through. It was an enjoyable experience to take an hour long walk in the forest with fresh air and nature. To be continued.

This time, I visited a house of a famous samurai in the Japanese history (Edo era), Odano Naotake (小野田直武). The samurai was really well-known for his knowledge in human anatomy, art works, weaponry and armors. The house was built 400 years ago and has been well-preserved. If you are interested in the Edo Japanese history, this place must be visited.

This is the first part of Day 4. The footages were shot in the Morioka (盛岡) handicraft village. The place houses distinct types of traditional Japanese handicraft arts, such as cookies, iron pottery, wood works, etc. Then, I visited Koiwai (小岩井) Farm. The places had many cows, some mini horse and black-faced sheep. For the rest of Day 4, to be continued.....

Matsushima Bay(松島灣) is located on the sea side of Japan's capital, Tokyo. There are about 200 islands in this area and many of them have pin trees, making the place unique tourist destination. Toshogu Shrine （日光東照宮）, a Japanese national treasure and an UNESCO world heritage site, is dedicated to a famous general and war lord, Tokugawa Leyazu（德川家康）, who founded the Tokugawa shogunate in the Edo periodof Japanese history. Buildings in the Shrine are rich in colorful ornaments and inscriptions. Respectful attitude is required. After visiting the shrine, I had lunch in a local restaurant...

Uh-huh! I came to Japan for another trip. This time, I spent a few days in the northeastern part of the country. On the 1st day, I had my dinner in a local tavern, enjoying some beer and BBQ.

It's Chinese New Year holidays again. According to the lunar calendar, 2024 is the of Dragon, a year with prosperity and good fortune. Just last week, I took a flight to Japan and spent a few days there. It only took about 2 hours from Taipei to Osaka and the inflight meal was very Japanese. When I got to a hotel, it was 7:30pm local time, so I had to go to a shopping center to have dinner. Next day, I headed to Kyoto with my travel group.

This was my last day in Kyoto, Japan. After searching for any place for site seeing, I decided to go to Eikando Zenrinji Temple, which used to be a residential place for nobles.
