If only the yard wasn't a 30 minute walk from my house lol
I recommend a bike. I use a bike pretty much everywhere I go, Its Especially easy to get to places in Spokane WA where I usually railfan at!
@@VoyagerVentures yea i'm thinkin of getting a bike sometime in the future, with the yard being that close i could get a lot of activity
If this was recorded yesterday (Sep 28) then i was probably out with my friend finn cuz i don't think i got to see H57 leave LH yet
The romantic sound of a train whistle.
H57 was my first assignment when I got back from Georgia as a conductor trainee. Spent more than a few days going north and south from Lock Haven Yard before moving down to Northumberland Yard.
82 needs a repaint or a rebuilt same with the other f59phi’s cause their paint and parts is slowly coming off I think that probably another reason why Metra is trying to put more of their sd70mach’s in service to take over the f59phi’s for awhile until the f59phi’s come back all better and newer.

by chance do you know how many trains pass through the Otis Orchards area a day?
@@JuliusWirthlin Depends on which railroad you're looking to railfan. On BNSF, you can probably catch upwards of 15+ trains during their busy hour. (Mornings or evenings) On the Union Pacific, upwards of 4, maybe 6 trains if you're lucky.
