Can you tell us more about the parameter settings in this plugin? For example you said that decreasing the regularization strength can help better with the case that 4 trees are being classified as 2. So what does changing the individual parameters do?

@@FernandoZanvettor Hi, I also had this issue. The code is not run in parallel so it takes a lot of time, so launch by night or You can use the python code directly (scikit learn), there is a github repo github.com/p-leroy/lidar_platform

For non-French speaking friends - This covers data preparation for 3DMASC in cloud Compare. This step is not needed to run 3DMASC as it computes the features itself during processing. This is for understanding and visualization of said features. Turn on auto-subtitles and auto-translate, they'll get you through. How can I tell the program to separate the point cloud with the segmentation. Because right now its one point cloud with points segmentated, but i want each segmentation to be its own point cloud, so i can export them individually

@@lamiremy8042 vous pouvez utiliser PDAL Wrench directement. Mais, c'est bizarre qu'elle ne soit pas dans la boîte à outils.
@@akharroubi J'ai l'impression qu'il me manque des fournisseurs d'outils. Je n'en ai que 2 dans la liste des fournisseurs: GDAL et Grass... je ne sais pas comment en installer d'autres..

comment on détermine la valeur de résolution, j'ai fait résolution =0.3 mais le résultat sont des formes irréguliers des bâtiments et il ne représente pas la réalité?
Tu peux choisir la résolution selon ton besoin ou application, mais aussi cela depend de la résolution de ton acquisition (données).
0.3 c'est 30 cm comme résolution du pixel (si tes données sont plus denses, tu peux choisir même 0.1m)

@@nouramokhtari2242 C'est une information donnée suite à l'acquisition LiDAR. Sinon, tu peux l'estimer: prends deux points proches et mesure la distance entre eux. Refais cela pour 3 ou 5 points, cela te donnera une idée sur la densité.

C'est l'emprise exterieure vue d'en haut. Donc, cela peut inclure l'emprise au sol et la limite en haut. Imagines l'acquisition LiDAR pour visualiser cela.
Bonjour, j'ai copié le lien d'une image Entwine/portree sur QGIS mais elle m'empêche de faire un export à mon ordinateur, même de faire Clip, il affiche cet erreur (Export failed: A problem occurred while exporting: Unable to set data and convert as requested: UserData:int(-25) -> uint8_t). comment résoudre ce problème?

Monsieur Kharroubi, j'ai essayé dans la folie d'appliquer la coloration sur les points. Malheureusement il semble que a whitetoolbox est payante. Et c'est un petit investissement. Malgré tout merci encore. Est-ce qu'il existe une alternative à cette outil ? cordialement et merci de nouveau

Nice and clear video, well explained. I have also gotten your Udemy course, looking forward to learning more about using Cloud Compare. For further forest analysis, structural variables from the trees are needed (volume, diamters, lengths). Using RANSAC I can fit cylinders in Cloud Compare, but it would be nice to have something like TreeQSM to reconstruct the tree in a model. Do you know if anything similar is available in Cloud Compare?
Hi nico, thank you for your comment. You can use 3DFin, a new plugin that comes with the last version of cloudcompare. It gives a lot of dendrometric information like diameter, axis, height... let me know if you need any help.

Bonjour Abderrazzaq, Je souhaites tester 3DMASC sur un nuages de points photogrammétrique. J'ai Train Classifier, mais on dirait que ça n'a pas exporter le fichier yaml ? Quand je vais dans classify puis j'essaie de load le fichier .txt, j'obtient une erreur dans CloudCompare. Merci de l'aide
Was cyrax the first scanner on the market or were scanners from Riegl, Optech or MDL already available at that time? These scanners were of course designed more for long ranges.

Olá, normalmente a caixa de propriedades fica visível o tempo todo, olhe na parte inferior para alternar da árvore de dados para a árvore de propriedades.

I'm making a new tutorial about it.
Great! I'm looking forward to getting it. Currently, my workflow involves randomly adjusting parameters without a clear understanding of their effects. I keep an eye on the number of trees it discovers, and once I approach my estimated values, I proceed with the next steps. It appears that Treeiso is the only plugin effectively handling aerial LiDAR data. Unfortunately, 3dFin encounters issues processing drone material and consistently throws errors.

I uploaded a csv file having x, y, z points of the LiDAR sensor after that check the box "visible" but nothing displays on the main interface (blank). Can you please guide me to solve this issue?
Hi Nadeem, you just need to activate the Eye Dome Lighting shading. Look at the right of the cloudcompare interface

@@akharroubi true, gaussian splatting are absolutely amazing, when capture carefully planned and with floaters cleaned, results are absolutely stunning. Have you tried this dataset with gaussians ?

Fascinating stuff, i'm a complete noob in regards to CloudCompare, can the "groupings" be stored in the laz, or be exported to a .ply? Maybe as vertex-colors. What i'm also interest in, is if its possible to tell apart decidious and coniferous trees, and also store this information into a file that can be exported.

Hello Abderrazzaq Kharroubi, I am doing the same example with the same data an I have got an error after chousing the PC1 cloud and click OK in the 3DMASC Train window. Error said: Missing 'Classification' field on core points cloud. What could be the issue? Regards
Hi Josep. I think your point cloud just don't have the field "Classification". It should be written like that. For example if your label are stored into Label scalar field, just go to edit, scalar field and rename it.

If you are using windows, in your navigator press: windows + J You will see the list of all downloaded files.
