Neo needed more light to perform in 4k otherwise a bit colour saturated. Lights in the pub out of sync with the video fps and tricks to get rid of it made the video worse.

Me and a drone called Neo. A sunny ride along the SDW from Harting Down and back to play with Neo. 2 min 40 sec long and I get to play with Neo after 1 min 15 sec. 😁
That looks like a beautiful day out Roger. Fantastic New Forest scenery 👍
How did you do that?
DJI Neo drone. Weighs 135gm and easy fit into medium backpack. It doesn't seem to work too well from the front on a bike, but tracks using AI from the rear (follows). The sense in which it is clear that claimed AI is somehow involved is that it doesn't cut corners so if you're going through trees it will properly follow you. It seems to work on the principal that if you can get through then so can the drone. However, it doesn't have object avoidance. Watch this space as I'm currently editing the video from yesterday's east of Harting Down ride and it follows me up a steep chalky climb.
@@rogercarradus2914 Amazing
thanks for doing this!!! "Lively leader" could have been "last but not least" haha! (Louise)
Glad you liked it Louise. It's a miracle I got that footage as I would never have got up Brenscombe Hill without e-power!
Fabulous Roger! 🎉🎉
Glad you liked it John.
Bloody brilliant Rog
Cheers David!
Nice new EBike Roger!
Thanks Joe. I think I had better join you all on a night ride so that I can whip you while I can!
Who keeps finding the 'oles!
Was that a cleat fail by any chance? 😋
Rider failure!
Best one yet Roger. I might even persuade Joy to do rides like this :-)
Just spotted your comment Wilf. There are some lovely trails around Salisbury that are fantastic in the dry. This is the western side of King Alfred's Way.
Brilliant. Good camera that Osmo Action - so good, I got one of my own!
Thanks Wilf. I hope you have hours of fun with your OSMO on LEJOG.
This might even persuade Joy to get a mountain bike :-)
It's great fun in the water until the bearings get washed out. SRAM put sealed bearings in rear mech pulley wheels. The lower one recently jammed solid and the chain ratchetted over it. Happened on both off road bikes in the last month!

Great. How long will it fly for? What happens if it tracks you into tree cover? Will it go up over the trees automatically? I want one!
I have 4 batteries. Up to 21 minutes each, but I limit flight to 15 minutes. Collision sensors in front, behind and below (for landing), but not above (flying under bridges is for experts). I've seen some demos online with attempts to fly through trees and around tree clumps and lamp-posts, but not entirely successful. I use WiFi mode so that a smartphone is essential with the controller. I have the propeller blade protectors on as I was cutting grass on landing (this adds a small weight and hence a small effect on duration). You can fly it in RF mode with just the controller giving it a longer range.
Yes. It's great fun Jeremy, but lots of work and I'm on a learning curve not just with the drone, but with video editing. I cut 6 hours of footage down to 4 minutes for this clip. I still think that it is overlong. The bike tracking gets a bit boring even for me to watch.
Makes me want to get out there
Well Done Roger, great Cameraman I want a Go Pro Camera for Xmas present, Hope my kids read this :) BJ
Great video and nice music
+Wilf Forrow Thanks Wilf
I always use the best video format for RUclips: H.264 and the quality is different every time after upload. The original on my PC is far superior to the uploaded version. How the hell does RUclips make it come out so smudgy!!
Sorry guys. Poor quality due to bad settings. I tried to spruce it up a bit by reducing the redness of the artificial light. Hope you enjoy anyway.
The flood is global and is about to get much worse. See the overwhelming evidence at ruclips.net/user/WhirledPublishingfeatured
I could do with some paddles attached to the rear wheel hub!
are you putting the row back in rowlands castle?
I am sure Steve McQueen had a ramp set up. In this clip notice the very sharp turn I took to get to the gate. I nearly misjudged and crashed into the fence!
Steve McQueen would have ridden straight over the top of that gate
