How much gold do you need in SoT ? Once you have your Captaincy and can buy a boat(s) does accumulating gold essentially become a side effect of completing quests or is there more to it than that ? I know you can buy cosmetics, tools weapons etc with it but they don't per increase your in game abilities beyond potential psychological affects on other players ?

Two main problems with this, one you dont need to use the pulley system to bring the loot closer for the harpoon to pick it up, just drop it so it falls near or in the water facing the portcullis door and the harpoon can still get it saving a bit of time. Two, considering this is a beginner guide to getting loot not many people yet have bought their own ship and can use the sovereign to offload and sell their loot.

You know what we need 100%!! An option to Auto mark quest locations on the map.🤷🏻‍♂️ Im soooo done with having to find each freaking island ALL OVER AGAIN. this would literally cut out so much dead down time in game. I don't think it's changing that much. It just cuts down on the time required to get loot onto your ship. I think this will be great for all players. People who don't have hours to game but love sea of thieves can save 20 minutes. I know when I only have an hour to play I almost don't want to bother getting on sea of thieves because by the time I'm stocked up and ready for the world event on the other side of the map an hour has gone by and I have to get off. But what this means for pvp players is that if you are chasing a ship and it doesn't just dive on you to escape that means it has loot it doesn't want to lose. you aren't committing to an hour long chase for a ship that didn't even loot the barrels before leaving the outpost. My take way is that if there is a ship sailing its because it has loot. And everyone else that is fast traveling isn't worth your time yet.

Having issues, game is installed on my series x, hard copy. Im using the xbox app on my laptop and playing over the cloud. Do i need to download to my laptop to be able to open the command menu? As i have tried every button and nothing opens. Thank for any help

That's nice but bottom line, this requires you to have a g o o d bit of coin to get a pc that can run skyrim in space so a broky like me is just stuck, I blame the stinginess of companies that like to make clean cut metal boxes with no extra little buttons for you to have fun with, just the one and two buttons so you're fucked and can't do anything about mods or anything else that the PC has Please fix Valve

Thanks for that info, i was wondering one other thing, After getting the skills points do you still have to do the task to unlock each skill level in order to upgrade it? ( ie. Destroy 25 enemy ships while using targeting to unlock the next level)
