What is that sort of servo sound in the video? Is that Glide’s wheels, or is somebody taking photos of them as they are walking?

Why are they making that blind woman vacuum the carpet??

I know it may look like it, but that is not a vacuum. That is a mobility aid. It’s kind of like a newer version of the cane. Instead of you whacking at obstacles when you swing it around, the device sees the obstacles with its camera. You probably saw the row of LED lights in the middle of the device. I think the camera is somewhere near those. Anyway, as the device sees obstacles coming up either to her left or right, it will turn its wheels a little bit and steer you away from them

This seems great and financially feasible, but what does this do with stairs or steps? Are you not able to go down them and must use an elevator?

Is there a website where we can follow and get more information other than here on the RUclips channel? Also like to know more about pricing and where can I go to get a demo of the product to see if it’s something that I can make use of, thank you.

There’s so many ways this could be useful. And so many ways this is gonna be problematic. It seems like it works best on a flat surface so like a mall or an airport would be optimal. But what if it’s a rocky surface? The fact that it uses GPS and takes you to the specific place you wanna go and find the door automatically and can maybe find a front desk could be really useful. But what about stairs going up and down? I get that this thing is pretty light, but part of navigation is knowing how many steps and how steep those steps are. This thing really needs legs. And it’s overall look kind of worries me. I get the sense that it’s kind of like a little child’s vacuum that used to move the balls around when he moved it back-and-forth. I don’t know if I could get past that and go out into the world with it. Maybe after a couple of days of using it I’d get completely used to it. I imagine going to the airport and getting to the gate on my own without anybody’s help. That could be pretty awesome. I wish I could have more information

Need more information on this. Doesn’t work on sidewalks. People walking towards and incline.

Looks really neat and would be very beneficial but again financially out of a lot of our league financially in Ontario and pretty well much of Canada. And beyond everywhere. These products are very well and I know they take a lot of time to create but financially it’s out of a lot of peoples leaks to be able to afford it.

it looks wonderful! I have my deposit safely banked! Just one question: can you turn the glide off, temporarily, if you find yourself in a situation where there is no clear pass, but you would still like the confidence of the wheels and the touching of the floor and the field of a cane in your hand, as you gently push your way through? 5:37 5:37

this sounds so very good! I'm lucky enough to be living in a country that's rich enough to be able to offer people like myself Guide Dogs, although there aren't that many of us, but what about everywhere else, something that's truly universal would be excellent, I would love to know how much it may weigh and how foldable it is Very best wishes for the future Sandra and Guide ZYON 1:44

Very promising and innovative gadget. Will definitely going to become a must have for visually impaired persons. I wonder why nobody thought of this before. I think even without AI, with the existing technology, the design could help sightless people in many ways and I am sure that very soon Glide will evolve to sort out all the negotiation issues of the blind. But I have a small concern, when the wheels get dirty moving through some dirty road or areas, it might be problematic to enter some clean places like office, hospital and houses. So may be it would be helpful if there is a way to keep the wheels clean. May be it will be helpful if the wheels are made swappable to use inside home and other hygienic places.

That's actually the same controller from that one submarine exploded in the ocean last year I believe. It's a early 2000 controller for computers. Not anything close to Xbox.
