Jolin Signs

My name is Jolin and my little brother's name is Hudson. I love Jesus and I really enjoy sign language so I thought this would be a great way to combine the two. I feel lead to use my God given talent to open up the opportunity for the Deaf and hard of hearing communities to be able to enjoy these wonderful worship songs. I have also been told by hearing people that being able to hear and see the songs really enhances their worship experience, so I hope you enjoy. My favorite artist is Matthew West so you will be seeing many of his songs here. I also really like Justin Warren & Phil Wickham so I will be doing many of their songs too but I will be doing a variety of other Christian artist as well. Thank you Matthew West for being such an inspiration. You have always provided me with wonderful soundtrack running through my mind that keeps my mind where it needs to be, on Him. I hope to be able to give the Deaf community that as well because I know it has made such a big impact on me.

I just found this channel by chance. I am a college student currently working to become an ASL interpreter. I am also very interested in ministry. Seeing what you do is so inspiring to me and I really appreciate you showing the good you are doing. I am not yet fluent in ASL by any means, after all, I've only been doing it for about two semesters, but I am working hard to get there. I am hopeful to one day do what you are doing and maybe even interpret sermons, but right now, I'm just trying to learn the language. Thank you for uploading this; it is very interesting to watch and it really does inspire me.

Hello, I am amazed. I have never seen anything similar like this. So I am surprised, that there is a channel based on signing the songs. Which are even christian songs! I am not deaf, despite this I came across your channel when I searched the song Future looks good from M.West. By the way, you are in some way also deaf or you just want to do this? And how long does it take to you to prepare one song? Greetings from Czechia!🇨🇿 ...just for your information, How far your work could impact people🙂. Hello. So glad you found this channel. I am not deaf and don't have anyone who is deaf in my family. I have just always loved sign language and felt the Lord calling mee to use two of my passions (music and sign language) to honor and worship Him and to help spread God's love to some who may not have the opportunity to enjoy worship in their language often. I have also gotten feedback that it has been a big help to hearing people also who get a deeper connection to the songs through not only hearing them but seeing them. I love being able to do it with my little brother and that he enjoys introducing me. The length of time varies by song depending on difficulty level but basically I fist have to sit down and change the lyrics into ASL (American Sign Language has a different syntax as it is a completely different language then English, so it is not just word for word signing). Then I practice the song a couple or many times depending on how fast I pick up that specific song. Matthew West, Justin Warren and Phil Wickham songs I usually pick up faster because I listen to them so much already. :)

I am so glad you like it. The first time I heard this one I liked it but after listening to it several times and then when really concentrating on the words as I changed it into ASL I started to truly love it. :)
