looks like the new tri-pod is working nice. I was thinking of buying those shoes because they make a wide in the version, but I am waiting for the Nike SB to come out with a wide. I don't know if I should hold my breath.

FYI, if anyone reads this and is curious……I bought a set of these a month ago to replace a stock set of 65mm 78a wheels on a globe longboard. I installed them with a new set of bones reds, and it’s a really nice and smooth combination. Even though these are 80a, they seem just as soft, and handle rough pavement a lot better than the 65mm 78a wheels they replaced. If you read the amazon reviews you’ll notice people saying they don’t come perfectly round, but wear down evenly. That’s been my experience. Out of the package they were not 100% round (you would notice when putting your finger on it while free spinning), but it didn’t effect my ride. After 20-30 miles that’s mostly gone though. I would absolutely recommend if coming from smaller cheap wheels…….one thing I’m curious on is how they compare to more expensive wheels, like orangutang in heats. I can’t answer that personally as I’ve never ridden orangutans.

Just use the Otang bushings boardside, and the stock bushings roadside. This should make for a much better ride.

If anyone one reads this and is curious, I decided to buy a set of these, cause right now Amazon has them for $25. I’m coming from a stock globe board with 65mm 78a globe brand wheels. These are 76mm 80a. I live in an area with really rough streets. These are definitely a step up. It doesn’t make the street magically smooth, but it’s better than my prior wheels. For the price way worth it. I also paired them with a new set of bones redz. So I’m sure that helped a little too.
