As a Canadian Citizen i tell you guys and all Indians students out here. Companies want a mix of nationalities in their organizations, they don't want to be run over by all Indians. Its a unwritten rule that people are ignoring Indians in companies now. Their is a strong resentment against Indians especially Indian students. Everyone is blaming them for Inflation, Housing and what not. Their are way too much Indians and people are not liking it,especially those indians ones who cant talk a single sentence in proper english. Its going to get tough for indian students, anyways best of luck.

No jobs for canadians and locals and you think youll magically find a job in this recession by networking....yeah ok. Just admit Canada lied to immigrants to keep their housing market and debt bubble from crashing.

Good for you. My parents came to Canada from India in the 70s. I was born and raised here. We have all had a wonderful life in this country. One has to work to establish oneself in a new country. That is a given, especially in these hard times. Keep at it and all the best to you.

I left canada where I've lived for 17 years, to move to africa. I'm not african but british, but with all the stuff happneing in that country I couldn't take it anymore. Don't stay in canada, and whatever you do, DO NOT have children in Canada. Yes, birth them but flee the country as soon as you can

If i were you, i would go back to India which is growing at 8% per annum and GDP is going to double in next 5-7 years. It will create lots of opportunities in India over next decade especially after Modi's win in the election this year, there's going to be lots of FDI inflows in the country. Canada's current GDP growth for last 6 quarters is zero growth. Also inflation is super high in Canada, high rents, high interest rates, high grocery prices, everything is high and expensive and it will take 10 years for inflation to come down in Canada. If you still decide to stay in Canada, then i would take any part-time evening & weekend jobs until you get the job in your field. You can also try doing some sales which will give you some entrepreneurial experience and both of you will be fine. Once you hustle and break some ice, life will be much easier down the road. This funda applies no matter which country you live in.

There are no jobs in Canada so I advise better come to India & you will get some good job - In 2 months we will see you both begging on streets Before the condition get worse book flight tickets & settle down with parents

no jobs available in Ontario for Data analyst....try contacting some consultants ...but scenario is very bad in Ontario.

Try temporarily trucking job....its never ending i think so...

If you put in the same dedication and effort in India , u have lot more opportunities here.

Unfortunately, the job situation especially for I.T. and a lot of other white collared positions is only going to deteriorate. 2025 will be much worse. Those Indians who have come in the last few years are going to find it very difficult. Good Luck !

Try to look for jobs at the universities. Universities usually have a job board, or intranet. You can join them by filling up some forms online, that’s how it works in Australia. Professors might need research assistants etc.
