This is needed on a larger scale. Please never stop sharing your story! Awareness is soooooo necessary. I remained undiagnosed for 17 YEARS, and I was only diagnosed after I self diagnosed. 💜💜💜💜💜💜 QOL is horrific, I’m fighting for disability (still, since June 2021) haven’t been able to work since mid 2019. Illness onset was 2004!!!! Was misdiagnosed w PCOS and anxiety, depression, panic attacks. Was ALWAYS Cushings. Severe delay in diagnosis left me with persistent Cushings. Same as Jack, my levels did not decrease or normalize post op. Got down about 50% but still high. Im now testing more and PRAYING I won’t have to beg for the BLA I clearly need. My tumor was tiny 1.5mm I have thyroid nodules and Hashimotos due to all this. I went to Doctors every year since 2004 I BEGAN WITH ENDOCRINE bc I knew!!!!! Im so upset!!!!!

Thanx for sharing ur story mate. I didn't quite understand, did they check your hormone levels, in particular cortisol in your blood and urine at the very beginning, when the symptoms of sleep problems began? Or did it take 2 years for the "doctors" to figure it out?

I wouldn't advise anyone to do craniotomy. It's just a money making scheme. If you have a less serious tumor esp low grade, avoid it.

I totally agree with this video. I had my craniotomy to remove a baseball sized meningioma and they didnt really tell me what to expect post surgery. I don’t know what is worrysome and what is normal really. I have this pressure on the top of the head where my tumor was and it throbs. But I don’t know if this is just part of the recovery process. Also my blood pressure has been higher and my heart rate sometimes is higher. I still get dizzy and blurry vision.

I wish I would have seen this before my second surgery. I can agree Drs don’t say the outcome after surgery. I wish I was told I would feel the sharp pains in my skull. It hurts when I yawn. The inside of my head hurts like if something is pinching me really hard. If I could go back and cancel my surgery I would have.

I am an Australian. My mother is a refugee in west Africa. She has a pituitary macroadenoma- has gone blind in both eyes, experiences seizures and is home bound. The medical facilities cannot help help her. She can not afford the cost of overseas treatment. I contacted the Australian pituitary foundation few months back and they said they couldn’t help me. I have contacted a few neurosurgeons and hospitals in Australia and they have quoted me over $100,000 to perform the surgery. My wife and I are my mums only support and we can not afford this amount. The situation is urgent and life threatening. I am reaching out again to Yi Yuen Wang, the Australian Pituitary Foundation and others who might be able to help. My mother needs help, PLEASE HELP SAVE HER LIFE by helping her access surgery in Australia.
