Sounds fantastic my dude!
Thanks a lot! It's slowly coming together, but I really need to practice (and listen) more. 😅
@@LonePigsyAndCub I play music as well and the best piece of advice I've ever been given is "there is no need to rush creation. If it takes 50 minutes to write, GREAT! If it takes 5 years? GREAT! Everyone works at their own pace, the most important thing is to never give up on it."
Awesome job bro.
Thank you, Thomas!
Beautiful
Thank you! I'm kinda obsessed with this tune!
Better than I could do good job. Makes me wanna play more

Bird is the word!
The recording sounds really good, man. And it's that cool Grateful Dead rock/folk arrangement. Well done, my friend. I hope all is well post-hurricane down there--Tim.
Yes!❤
Alright Pigsy, great way to drive away the remnants of the storm-so glad you made it!🙏✌🏻💜💚💙
Thanks, Beardsy!
🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶 Sounds SOLID 💯 love your style.. 💜
Thanks, man!
Love it! Quality song and cover. Was worried 'bout ya there for a bit, hope Ernesto didn't smash ya too hard!
Thanks, Chris! I've definitely experienced worse hurricanes, but it was a very long storm. It rolled right over us, and during the eye it felt like it was over, but then came back four a good ten hours more! And no power for almost five days, in 98 percent humidity gets old pretty quick!
@@LonePigsyAndCub Sheesh, I don't much fancy that! Glad it wasn't so bad after all though.
Glad to see that hurricane didn’t tear too much down

Hey Pigsy! A couple of us were worried about you at Church & Shakedown yesterday; you ok??🙏
Beardsy! I still don't have my power back - just on a generator for a couple of hours! It was a long storm, but I've seen worse! Hope to be back in the 21st century soon!
@@LonePigsyAndCub Very glad you are ok and have a gennie! We just have an eight-month winter up here🤣We don’t have to worry about the weather the way you must!✌🏻
Hurricanes are becoming more frequent as the ocean warms - I bet there will be more excitement in the coming weeks!
Nice ☮
Thanks Windy!
Stay safe Pigsy-time to hunker in the party bunker😂
Thanks, Beardsy! It's already getting pretty rough out there - only 17 more hours to go!
Way to take Ernesto; for the team Hoping it will suck out some of our humidity 🥵 🤘🏼☮️⚡️💟dig this
Thanks! I'm pretty nervous TBH! 😅
It was a long ride, but I've seen worse! Just got my power back!

Very, very nice, my friend. Great job, DeeDee--Tim
Thanks, bro! It would be so much fun if I could get her on board - I've been trying for a while, without much luck. No one around here wants to make even the tiniest commitment... ps. I emailed you our first jam!
That jam was fantastic, dude. But I knew it would be. I have greatly admired your playing since I first heard you. It just clicks with the kind of stuff I like to do. I really like her, and hopefully she will do more stuff with you. Ultimately, it's best to be able to function just by yourself if possible, because the world of music and musicians is weird and fickle. That's the only reason I learned to play some lead myself, lol.
Cutee🥰🥰
Hell of a lot better than I could ever do so you got that going mr. Pigzarelli!😆 I think it’s great, I love your voice on this!💙💚💜
Thanks, Beardsy! I'm going to keep working on this one! The part where Jerry sings "rain falling down, down" has a cool little tricky thing going on - I can't quite get it - but hopefully someday I'll figure it out!
Hey, that sounds fantastic. Great sound from the mic and the Alvarez. Cedar is pretty cool!
Thanks, Tim! This guitar is growing on me! I'm really not sure how to describe the sound, other than " it's different".😅
That Alvarez is sounding great, my friend. Glad you are singing, too!
I'm trying, bro! It's amazing how rusty songs get if you don't keep 'em in rotation. Hey, do you find the string tension to be higher on your Alvarez guitars? It certainly feels that way on mine, and I've read it's by design, something to do with the Yairi bi-level bridges. I've gotta toughen up my fingers! 😅
Yes, I agree on keeping a song rotation going if you can, and singing at least a little every day is very important. As far as that bi-level bridge, the idea is to create a more pronounced break angle between the string and where it crosses the saddle; it's supposed to give you better tone and projection. As far as the action, you probably need to do a little set-up. What I do is adjust the truss rod, turning it clockwise a couple turns, then check the action with an action ruler. If that's not enough, you can sand down the bottom of the saddle a little bit. Between those two things, I can usually achieve the action I like, which is around 2.5 mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret and 2 mm at the 1st string at the 12th fret. The last thing you can do is carefully file out the nut slots. Also, you probably want to use some light gauge strings. My favorite strings are the D'Addario XS .12-.53. But compared to an electric, a steel-string acoustic will always be a bit harder to play. And you don't want to take the action down too much, or it starts buzzing, which I hate. I hope this helps a little, my friend--Tim.
@@timtsh I'm happy with the action and intonation. I just find it feels a little bit stiffer and tougher to bend than my other acoustics. I'm using a medium light hybrid - I bought a whole bunch of them when they were on sale, so I guess I'm stuck punishing my fingers for now! I'm taking the day off busking to run errands for my dad so hopefully my hands will get some rest today. ps. check your junk folder - I sent you an email.
Oh, yeah, it would be way harder to do bends. I do a few minor bends here and there, but I would be feeling it, too, if I tried to play that electric style stuff. You might be better off with .11s. Okay, I saw your email. I will get back to you on that this evening after work.
very underrated, much love.
Thanks, Adam!
@@LonePigsyAndCubno thank you for this amazing cover

Thank you, Rawanessam!
Man, look at all that hair. I used to have some, too, lol. These are cool videos, man.
Keep on pickin,' my friend. You're having a lot of fun, and it is sounding better--Tim.
Thanks, Tim! It really is fun. It's been a rough week overall for music, though! The music store is telling me I fried the circuit board on my JBL's input, and the replacement board could take weeks, maybe even months to arrive! And they want to charge me even though it's only two months old :( Also, I've attempted a hack job re-gluing the lifted bridge on my Gaea. There is nowhere to clamp (no soundhole), so I put dumbbells and a wah pedal on it overnight! I'm basically doing everything wrong... as is my way - ha ha! And, lastly, I did try my interface and SM57, but the software isn't compatible with my computer and the volume is too low! I'm going to try a cheap gaming mic next!
I just got the Alvarez, and strung it up! Despite the cedar top, it's still quite loud. No big problems found (yet) - but had to tighten the strap input jack -which I probably should have done holding the inside.. whoops!
I have a couple Alvarezes. One is great, and one is kind of a lemon. I am glad you got a nice one. Cedar tops are pretty sweet, I think.
Awesome
