Always loved Pancho but this not his best work. We'll leave it at that.
He is dumb he is doing aerobatics with a glider which is not built for that 😂
Another life saved by a ballistic system fortunately.
Where is the grease?
It's a plane😅, not an archaeopteryx
It isn't a plane it's an archaeopteryx glider
I bet I know what color his shorts were when he got back onto the ground
Avery very deep shade of DARK BROWN.
No agreguen turbinas a sus planeadores gente, ni mucho menos hagan piruetas, las alas no están hechas para soportar intesas fuerzas G.
Archaeopteryx: isn't this a flightless bird?
Lovely Can you tell us where can we find the plans?
What a raging moron
для каждой техники - свои режимы работы, нельзя планер высшим пилотажем насиловать!
TF for the parachute
for those wondering, the purpose of the mechanism is to mix the flaps and ailerons. all four surfaces move together, so ailerons go up and down with the flaps und vice versa (aka flaperons). this increases maneuverability. the trick is that in the landing flap position (full downward deflection of the inboard flaperons) the ailerons deflect up again. this decreases the angle of attack on the outer wing and maintains aileron effectiveness even when the flapped (inner) section is already stalled. as a bonus, it also messes up the lift distribution and creates even more drag, allowing for steeper approaches.
May the G-Force be with you..., or perhaps against?
I wonder if while flying within spec tolerance, strong turbulence might snap the wing spar.
Maneuvering speed.
"Within spec", probably not. However, 60+ MPH upward gusts have been known to happen and snap wings on much sturdier aircraft.
Va is maneuvering speed....never exceed
Is it true that many students in the nearby school were killed by falling debris and that the pilot is in jail now for manslaughter?
To much load equals this .m
Overpriced.
That's pure physics, this kind of plane is absolutely not designed to do this. The main problem is the pilot...
When the wing spar snapped, it said, "Ooooh, that's not good." When the wings separated from the aircraft, I said, "Ooooh! That's REALLY not good!" When the parachute opened, I sighed, "Well that's REALLY good!"
The parachute system saved him.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Proof once again that some pilots are just plain idiots.
Could see that one coming. Those are the kind of pilots you avoid.
Given that you can buy an older glass glider for $10-30k why ??
100% agree.
You cant rig older gliders alone, and you always need another machine for launch. The Archaeopteryx is a one man show. Actually a fancy hangglider.
I thought oh crap, the person flying this thing is dead. Then I saw the parachute. Whew!
Human genius has its limits but human stupidity knows no limit ...
Ouf ! 🥶
When you know what you do, you can do nearly everything. If not, the danger begins. The money was not lost. It was a good investment in knowledge. I saw Walter Extra on an Airshow demonstrating his new EXTRA 300. The maneuvers were breathtaking. But this man knew everything about his limits and the limits of his plane. He won several aerobatic competitions. At airshows privat pilots convert to top gun guys. Why ??
It's called testosterone. It tricks all male mammals into making incredibly bad decisions.
Because they are amatuers and don't know the limits of their lack of abilities.
Overload of the paper clip holding the wing to the fuselage
I'm wondering if the guy who thought it would hold up to a loop has any money he wants to invest in my new crypto token?
As usual pilot error
Thinks he’s Tex Johnson
A dumbass with money is a bad combination. Especially if it involves getting ten feet off the ground.
Weak plane design
Not necessarily. You can't make that judgement without more information. It could be possible the pilot was operating outside the design's never exceed parameters. You can destroy any aircraft by doing that.
Hi, you would think this bone head would learn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness for parachutes
Even if you do not pull loops, you can get into lift with as many 'G's as a loop. Weak. Redesign is required.
Maneuvering Speed - Is such a speed that the Aircraft Wings will "Stall" instead of "Breaking" - Exceed that speed, you get more lift, more "G" forces, and No Matter the Aircraft - This can be the same result! And - this was a "Pretty Graceful Explosion" of this Aircraft!
@@robertweekley5926 lol
Can the designer respond? What is the limit load factor exectly? Onlyto get all the kwik-kwak straight.
"less"
This guy looked like he was trying to pull 2-3 Gs but it's an origami glider that weighs 130 lbs and assembles like lego. It needs to be flown as such. I'd LOVE to have one but only for gentle soaring.
Any flying machine should be able to sustain 2 to 3g or it shouldn't fly at all. Actually 3g x 1.5 (safety factor), so 4.5g ultimate load. Something that actually falls apart at under 3g is utter dog shit and the designer should pick up gardening instead.
What ya talking about bro Lego is strong AF 😂
The wing broke after 8gs
@@daszieher The wing broke at 8gs
@@thorluis226 thanks for confirming.
He was obviously hit by an alien beam weapon. 🎉Obviousky. 🎉Next you'll be saying the recent UFO craze was a duck flapping its wings filmed by an F18 and lens flair in a camera. 🎉Obcuous beam weapon 🎉Movie script is mine.
why?
At this high price you can really expect more stability.
For this high price, you can expect a realy lightweight plane. Make it more sturdy, it will be heavier and therefore have less performance in the thermals. And it is build to glide, not to do aerobatics.
I do not think so. Namely, with carbon fibers, it doesn't take much weight to make the spar more stable in the particular areas so that it can withstand such loads. The slight additional weight is completely negligible and does not reduce the thermal performance in any way. By the way, I build airplanes myself.@@Habakouk77
Where is the stability problem in this video?
Unscheduled catastrophic disassembly......
Unscheduled yes, but Fate has its time.
What is the max load factor!
You're looking at it, kid.
Archaopteryx are not aerobatic rated There's old pilots and bold pilots... I'm sure he'll find a way to kill himself again
I was literally about to buy one.
You must be rich, go ahead but do not do high g anything.
@@GWAYGWAY1 Financially no, but I've been living a blessed life for a long time.
@@macknewman835 - Just Remember - the Specs aren't "Suggestions" when it says - "Never Exceed Speed" (Vne)! It's a very Clean Aircraft, so coming off the top of a Loop, will pick up a lot of speed, fast, So - Skip those tricks!
This doesn’t look like a crash to me lol. Looks like he went past the never exceed speed. Probably too much load factor and put too much stress on the aircraft
Have you seen the gender reveal crash?
Looks like a cars watts linkage, that's locked out in one of two positions, and then you just move the center pivot point for ailerons. It's the "locking mechanism" that makes it seem so complicated
A clear case of under-designed plane and pilot stupidity.
