Oh you who claims to understand Oh brother, how long will you be deluded? You tire yourself with sin and disgrace You make mistake after mistake Don't you feel ashamed? Hasn't your old age warned you? For certainly there is no doubt about it's advice Rather, you have chosen to be deaf Hasn't Death Called You? Have you not heard the voice? Are you not afraid your time is running out? So be warned and take heed. For how dizzy are you in heedlessness As you strut in arrogance And you focus on having fun As if death is a myth You challenge the inevitable You slack in avoiding the flows you naturally carry When you anger Allah You feel no anxiety for that But if your worldly efforts fail You burn in worry You defy the righteous who advises you In disobedience and negligence However you are pressured by those heedless Those who lie and deceive you As you move according to your own desires Seeking any means to obtain wealth And you forget the darkness of the coffin And you do not ponder what will take place there Only if you are fortunate enough To get your share of guidance But you were not of those who cry saddened in regret when the warning came You will cry blood, not tears When you see the reality and there will be no uncle or aunt to save you It is as if I am with you descending- to the grave as you are covered And your family leave you be-to a place narrower than a small hole And there lays an extended body- only to be eaten by worms That keeps gnawing constantly- until your bones decay After that, your actions must be shown- then over a path whose bring is over the burning fire For how many guided ones became misguided and for how many mighty ones were disgraced And how many scholars- saying, "This trust is overwhelming!" So oh heedless one, hasten to the one who constantly blesses you For your time is almost up yet you cease to give up sinning So do not be fooled by time, even if you are pleased and are delighted For you being deceived- you will be attacked by a snake that sprouts venom in your grave So humble yourself to whoever you meet- for indeed death will meet you soon And don't mind if they annoy you Be with those who are humble if you truly seek help- and watch what you say in anger: For those mind their tongue are happiest And help your brothers in distress and do actions with excellence for he succeeds whose actions are excellent And give what you can to those who don't have- and do not worry over poverty and what you do not have And be an enemy to manners of miserliness, instead open your hand and give- and do not listen those who blame you for giving, and stay far from greediness And increase in good and leave off that which leads to the place of torment- and stay away from desires and doubts, for that will take you far So with this, I advise you brother, your enemy would want death for you, so be the one to take it and act upon it
