This movie is so good and incredible
I believe they did truly love each other but once Lucy found out that snow killed 3 people she realized he killed Sajuans (can’t spell it) she couldn’t trust the Snow wouldn’t turn on her too and got scared of him and ran. I do believe she still loved him but didn’t wanna risk anything and didn’t want to get hurt With Snow idk if he still loved her or not bc she did shoot her and kinda hunted her so idk about him but he was really upset that she left soo

You can’t tell me “ I’m in the trees I’m in the breeze” isn’t an ode to rue even though this was before. But this was the credits song so it would make sense
For me it is about Lucy being next to Snow in every little moment of his life. She was in his mind, in his biggest fears and memories. She was the one who brought his heart to life and she had taken his heart with her when she left. He wanted her alive anf in the same time he wanted her dead. He felt guilty and at the same time he thought that his decision was right. He choose power over love but also there was a moment he wanted to choose freedom and his love to Lucy. I think this song is about his thoughts that Lucy didn't love him and that she wasn't even important to him. But that's not true. He was in denial and she knew that. She knew her disappearance would haunt every moment of his life. That's why he hated Katniss and Peeta or was punishing Finnick and Annie. He saw in their stories how his own life could have been if he only had been with Lucy and not in the Capitol. Snow could kill for Power and Katniss could kill for Peeta. Snow never wanted her to reassure him she loved Peeta. He wanted her to realize she fell on love so he could hurt her more. And he knew where to hit her. Finnick was Annie's mentor and he would do anything for her to stay alive. And Snow knew about it. And he knew exactly how it feels. But their story could have had happy ending Snow doesn't have. So he did everything to destroy their happiness.
