11 years on, I still can't find this song anywhere else

Saw the Enz play this live in London back in 77/78 I guess. Saw them a lot during that period - Imperial College, Victoria Palace, Roundhouse twice. Absolutely remember loving Play it Strange. Always hoped it would find its way onto an album. Loved the early Enz. (And the later Enz too!!). Wish they were back!!!!

HATE that they buried that melodic guitar line in the chorus LOVE that they added the key change in the second half of the last chorus

I've got the album, it's probably in good condition, I only used to play Skyhooks' Revolution.

Amazing to see how he was influenced by his brothers band.

It kills me in that he sounds very much like parts of that eras prog pop songs especially Supertramp...Finn marched on... ..

This version shouldve been the album version, its far more interesting than the traditional orchestral arrangement they went with especially the bridge which has a real other wordly feel to it cos of the early 80s synthesiser. You wouldve thought being such an idiosyncratic band they wouldve picked this over the other one.
