Star Wars A Musical Journey: The Asteroid Field
Saw the band dozens of times in the 90s… But this set is one of their best of all time. Wish they would re-record when we parted the way that they did this live.
Incredible. I miss this band.
Thanks
thats a band
Seesaw
Wish they'd re-record this song in a studio like this...amazing.
Thank you for uploading the video. Very high quality and, in adition, I can see my daughter "conducting" the orchestra all the time 😂 Hopefully more videos from that perspective.
The magic of John Williams rubbing off on yet another generation! ❤🙌
Damn, Greg Dulli is in great shape here. This is one of my favorite Whigs songs.
Nice to see Rick there
1 person forgot the alcohol
Idiot crowd doesn't know they are watching the most badass, brilliant band ever!!!!
Nice to see Rick McCollumin this... it’s a shame he’s not currently with Curley and Dulli.
Saw them back when at Pukkelpop (Zitpop) where they unfortunately had to deal with 2 power shortages, during one a seemingly stoned Evan Dando jacked the stage to do his bit part of drumming, which was rather amusing. The Whigs, obliged by the clock, only managed to play a few songs, but unlike so many of the other acts that day, I did nor forget their show.
I simply do not understand how Into The Floor was never recorded!!!!!
Did he say Nigga @ 1:05 LOL
and showed love
this band was the best and never got credit because they spoke out about drug abuse
lol @ guy 4:21. loving it! me too pal!
Someone needs to help that drummer... where the hell was the drum tech! Fire him!
Im not trying to be a hater but Steve Earle killed this song, I don't really care for their current drummer. Just my opinion.
+J Hill when did Steve Earle ever play this song?
But they maket...was life
Does anyone know where to find the lyrics to "into the floor"?
EXCELLENT JOB DRUMMER.
There's no band like the Whigs.. They're in a league of their own.. Agreed Peter.. Everything is golden..
I HEART F/N WHIGS
Still awesome, from Debonair through to Twilight Singers, everything Greg touches turns to gold...
off course
Makes the whole longer version of this one. Dulli has an amazing ear for music, details. Very impressive.
Its one of there earlier tunes
fantastic band !!!
There amazing to see live in concert, saw them recently.
no one is doing anything close to any of this!
haha little red corvette! Love it Dulli.
DULLI <3
It's a crime only 3263 other people have watched this. Broadcast :)
Going To Town!!! Shivers down my spine!
Greg Dulli is a genius!
Saw them for the first time while doing my laundry in 1987 at Sudsy Malone's in Clifton on a Wednesday night. Rocked then...and my whites were fresh.
that's dave rossler - really nice guy. leave him alone ;)
fucking incredible!
I think Greg should do a verse of 'Edge of Seventeen' from Stevie Nicks during the intro to 'Going to Town.'
He's all in about Greg's shit isn't he? Gutter Twins as well...
I love Moon Maan! Unfortunately they played almost exclusively in Minnesota, as far as I can tell. I keep hoping that a bootleg of one of their live performances will turn up, but no luck so far.
Rick McCollum started + continues to create music under the moniker MoonMaan. It's brilliant; you can clearly hear where so much of that wonderfully angst-ridden Whigs guitar tone comes from. <3
Go fellas.
Ah, OK. I know he was once in a band called MoonMaan. They had some good tunes... "Light of the Moon", among them. I guess Steve is really into the moon n' stuff :/
joeyheadset why moon in english and maan in dutch? It's man in both languages, so...? It's wife in english and wijf in dutch and wuvve in West-Vlaams. In that dialect it's de moane, zie schijnt widder zo skone en fel ten es lank ni mis bah nent vint.
Nope. Moonbow. Look up "Moonbowrocks" on FaceBook (Can't post links here). If you scroll down you'll see pics of some of the players. My buddy Dave McElfresh (from Hank III) on fiddle, and Steve Earle in some of the pictures and also listed in the "About" link. I'm 99% this is the Afghan Whig's Steve Earle because Davey was telling me how cool it was to get to play with him.
Rosser with the solid, repeated rhythm pattern on this version tune.
Do you mean MoonMaan?
Thanks so much for posting this!
OMG, no words, only shivers on my skin....
