Yes and yes. I use a light oil to help with the soap release. This is a goat milk soap. I freeze it for a few hours - sometimes overnight. Once it's release from the PVC soap mold you can cut the bars of soap right off. I bought end caps for PVC piping from the hardware store for the end caps. Thank you I appreciate your kind comment! Yeah, I ran into the same problem when I was making them in my basement out of my home. What I did was make them in smaller batches and closed the door. If you have a separate area away from the home/studio/shed or rented kitchen that would help alleviate the problem.

The shower steamers need at least 24 hours to dry. This also depends on where you live and the humidity in the air. 24 hours is the rule of thumb. Thanks for commenting! ☺

I would say yes, but test a small batch first. Anything less than 91% has too much water in it. You could also try witch hazel too as an alternative. But always test a small batch first as a guide. Thank you for watching and commenting! ☺

The recipe for shower steamers is similar to bath bombs since I use baking soda and citric acid, but the ratios are different. I add a lot more skin loving ingredients to my bath bombs that make them an indulgent skin softening, bath soaking product. ☺
