Tampa Bay Redfish Catch and Cook
Anytime I catch a keeper redfish I like to take it home and make a nice meal of it. In this video I’ll walk you guys through on how I like to cook this fish. Along with showing some of my other catches that day and a pretty unique catch my neighbor had.

I evacuated from Tampa to Pensacola for safety. Might as well get some fishing in at my favorite pier. One of my favorite things about pier fishing is the people you meet on the pier. Such a awesome experience to start catching alot of fish with some random person and you both dont know where the other came from, your ideals, and if you two even speak the same language or have the same religion...

Best feeling catching these fish on lures and swim baits. Also, Is that the Hobie Compass or Passport? I have been thinking about getting that one how does it feel on the water?

I just moved to Tampa from st Pete, cool to see others fishing. just got my first nlbn set and I love it. I still use live bait too but nice to jig around while waiting for the bite on live bait.

What would you have done differently in this situation
@@Strikerfishingtv not grab the reel to stop line from going out. My inshore instincts kicked in and my body said to stop the fish from going into any structure.. but I was out in the open ocean where there was no structure… Moral of the story is I shoulda just let him run.

25lb Flourocarbon! I used to use 20lb fluoro but my line was breaking too much, so the extra strength on the 25lb holds better and the fish dont seem to mind the thicker line. Thanks for watching!!

what Lure were you using?
First half I was using a yozuri pencil lure. Towards the end I switched to a NLBN Mini mullet!

U can always feel a jacks tail when fighting. They will try to go go go go and u can literally feel the waggles from the tail. Nice to have a hard fight but disappointment too. Been there lol
@@DavidRoyal-y9o Interesting! I’ve definitely noticed that whenever I catch them. I’ve always wondered what that feeling was, but that makes sense with their tails. I always thought it was my hook starting to slip out of their mouth 😂🥲
