I am not sure of the year of this race, somewhere around 2011 - 2013. What an amazing line up of the best open ironman in the world. Literally the three best ironman in history, Shannon Eckstein, Trevor Hendy and Ky Hurst. I was very stoked to come away with a 3rd place. There was no pacing, literally 100% from start to finish. Never a drop of alcohol touch his lips, I've raced him few years ago ,he's a massive man ,when you face him.
Holy fucking shitballs! That race has six Aussie champs with 23 titles so far!, I thought being in Nathan Smith, Zane Holmes and Ky Hursts age group was fucked. Wow
I was junior in awe of Oscar and Herman. And Walter!! That Durban Surf team was unbeatable. We beat Pirates one year but couldn’t knockout DS. Not bad for a school club.
Clint did win K2 Austalian Marathon Champs with Ramon Anderson after Barcelona gold.
