Thanks, Not too many companies want to deal with making grips for RIA but the firearms are very cost effective for many people.

I have some Nicaraguan Rosewood and some African Rosewood that I can custom make some of those grips. Contact me thru my browneworks website to get a custom order set up.

There are a couple on the market now. Tylor Freelance makes a +4, look for the RIA 1911 A2 type.

If they were tanned, make sure to get any oils off first. If you are sanding your grips, keep them rough but make sure to get all dust particles off.

@@patioorangutan2239 I have used untanned skins as well. I still wash them with dish soap. Usually the untanned hides that I get are very stiff. I leave them a little damp so they are still pliable and can stretch over the grips.

Leathercraft cement works well. Apply as directed on the bottle. The rattle snake skin does stretch but those revolver grips have a lot of curvature.

I do not currently but I am always looking in gun shops and pawn shops for some of these older pistols to make grips for. I do have a wide variety of wood choices on my website. I might also be able to special order other types of wood it I do not already have it.

You would really need to talk to a gunsmith that specialized in doing the porting process. But, I can't see why you couldn't. I have not tried moon clips but I know the speed loaders have some issues because the cylinder does not swing out very far.

I am not sure with the grip fit to the LLAMA iiia. I am constantly on the look out for different LLAMA models but they are hard to find in my area. The full size Rock double stack magazine does fit in the BBR 3.10 but I have not fired any ammo thru it.

@@BrowneWorks thank you. i have a llama minimax ii and i believe the mags for it were used in the first bbr3.10 because one of the 1st videos on it had a llama mag. i can't find the video again, though.

I just picked up some cherry lumber yesterday. It will take a couple of days to cut it up and I can start making the cherry grips. Hopefully I will have some available next week.

Evan, The paint that I use in the engravings is Liquitext Heavy Body Acrylic. You will have to mix until you get the color to match. To put a protective coat over the grips, I use minwax lacquer. Let me know what else I can do to help or if you want to send them to me to repaint.

I actually have an Amazon store but, I turned it off because the fees are so high. They also do not let me communicate directly to the customers. Trying to give good customer service was very difficult. I like having a more direct relationship with my customers.

The last couple of grips in the video are the Cherry. Cherry will be the lightest but with age, will darken slightly.

Unfortunately, we are a small company and do not have the resources to ship internationally. There are third party shipping companies, such as "Stackry", that handle the international shipping of our decorative wood articles.

The screw holes lineup but the bottom angle is not 100% the same as 1911 grips. There is also a concern with the safety selector switch may not clear the top of the grips depending on the size of the safety lever and the contour of the top of the grips. The clearance is also an issue with other adaptors such as the PEARCE brand. None of the adaptors that I tested were 100% fit to standard 1911 grips. That is why I designed grips to the adaptor to give the best fit.

@@BrowneWorks Indian creek design say on the description the left grip of using ones off a 1911 the left one would not need trimming for the safety is this true? Thanks in advance

Yes, With a standard AR safety selector and a standard 1911 grip, there is NO trimming needed at the top. There are some oversized safety selectors out there that will have issues. There are some non-standard 1911 grips that are slightly longer that can also cause an issue. The majority of the time, there is no trimming needed.

It was about $250 with taxes and shipping.

Someone told me "citadel magazines" but I do not know much about them. The METALFORM are the factory replacement. The Colt Mustang and the Sig P238 have similar magazines but are much shorter than the BBR380's magazine.
