during my time in the oil feil we got ours from a company that rebuilt regulators and dump valves. if the company that made it does not sell them, i would look for oil feild supply/support and look for a company that rebuilds regulators since they are used everyhwere in the oil feild

given the cost, i would look on line for the right size it might be cheaper than trying to rrepair the regulator. repair is easy, the work is not bad, just make sure your time is worth the money.

no, but you will lose your bit, it will sediment in, the drill gell which is bentonite clay is what walls that up, but there is a good chance that is your water bearing strata. you need to pull your stem up and mix some drill gel and make sure the viscosity is about like a slurpy that has melted, it needs to be a bit thick

you are very correct that chinese steel does lack the carbon to make it stiff. i was gifted a pipe bender for copper tube which the arm piece bent when i was bending soft drawn copper. if things keep going the way they are, we will be back to the old ways. in california, they are now draining batteries of EVs to keep their grid on during times when the power is low, if an EV can find a place to charge where the copper has not been stolen.

if i abused my tools i would have expected this. i know this is made by the lower than the lowest contractor that the military uses, i treated it nice i have ordered parts from small machineshop made of metal, and a press, (ya, i bit the bullet) to fix this, 200 in repair

while i am not totally sure about the long tube sticking down, it may be so that the tank can be drained for moving. some tanks, i have read can be drained. this one could not be drained. i used white and some have commented you need yellow. this tank has not leaked down in the years since i put this in. you might ask the guy you sold the valve to you. i wish things were more clear. the other possibility is that it might be used for filling small tanks (20 pound) something i would never attempt

That pipe is for liquid withdrawal. The old tanks could be pumped out through the filler valve. The new multivalve has threads for the pipe.

i used less than a quart, and i used a powder in quart containers, i bought a half gallon. i use what is left like kitty litter. you will not need much. look at drilling logs and see what is below you, if clay, you need even less

@@dysfunctional_vet I saw that you used bentonite to pack the outside of the casing (between the bore hole and casing, a few feet above the screen). So are you mixing bentonite with the soil you pulled out while drilling?

it is fair use, is he the old guy. i like him but he is as deaf as i am. worse maybe. but he is a real pro when it comes to getting work done. did you understand the pressure part, why you need to send down more than just the pressure at that depth? also, i used 65 pounds per cubic feet as it has clay. salt water is that much, fresh water is 64

not that much. i was expecting to hit clay all the way down until i went into the water bearing strata. what the clay does is to act as a barrier to the water going into the formation and having a loss of circulation. i started with bentonite using about 4 pounds in a 1 meter square hole. after thatt, the clay in the strata was in solution and i did not need any more bentonite added. i did seal the well outside the casing with bentonite clay. when i needed to dig some of the casing out to add a pitless adapter, digging that bentonite was difficult to do. i have an appointment that i have to get going, but i will post a bit more for you when i get back. make sure you have that 1 meter square pit otherwise you will have issues with the thickess of your drilling fluid

@@shayisrael6137 sealing the casing is only while drilling. you have to develop the well, and get the bentonite out as fast as possible once you finish or it will seal your well against water movement both ways. in my case that 4 pounds took care of the first 30 feet and after that the clay in the water (suspended), kept the bore from collasping and the water inside the bore and not going into the strata around it. after i hit depth, 90 feet, i let the circulation pump run for about 30 minutes, and i made sure that the suction for my mud pump was not on the bottom, and not close to where the cuttings were coming in. (you will also need to shovel out the cutting every so often, they willl be heavy and it is work.) after that, i started to push my casing, starting with a 20 foot, number 80 screen stainless which i show how to make in another video. i made all the parts i use from 2x6 to hold the pipe as it was sunk. after your screen is in, you need to drop rock (river rock is the size) all around the screen and use a tape reel (100 feet to make sure you have rock all the way up the screen) after your rock is in, you can settle it, by rocking the casing and measuring again. this is important, do not skip. again measure, when you are above your screen a few feet, then you can back fill this with with a good thick layer of sand, and only after you have 3 feet (use that reel) you can then back fill with something solid. the area above that sand, needs to be sealed against contamination. i filled the annulus with bentonite clay. if you want a pitless adapter, do not fill all the way to the top, and make sure you have a 4 inch or larger casing at the very top.

Just to confirm, you put bentonite at the very top of the well to keep water going down the outside of the casing im assuming, and the majority of the rest of the length of the casing you used regular soil except for around the screen where you used stone. The bentonite was just at the very top of the casing correct? Forgive me if i dont catch on. Sometimes im dense.

@@shayisrael6137 yes, to explain, the well screen is 20 feet long, using 80 stainless. that is the screen size, 80. it allows a lot of gunk as well as some sand to enter, and i will do a video for you to explain this, tried to do it today, but got caught up trying to catch up, plus i am in school for 2 hours during the day. i have about 24 feet of screen, packed gravel. (20 foot screen, 24 feet rock), 3 to 5 feet of sand, (this prevents the drilling cutting from getting into the rock screen. then back filled with wet clay drilled from the bore. it is the consitency of a milk shake that is a little melted. the last 20 feet is bentonite clay.

@@dysfunctional_vet That's pretty darned impressive! I have days where I can't drink without a straw, but for some reason do okay at the range. Tying a fly on the tippet requires an awful lot of zen. Concentrating on relaxing is a counterintuitive skill that's difficult to consistently replicate.

the castle is not a large one, and was interesting as it is as much cut out of the stone as it is built of cut stone. take a flash light. there is a huge cave inside under the main part of the castle. there is no light except for a small cut above. in the court yard is a well, that is the window and the light is not great. also, have a rum at the little dinner. it is good stuff.

it knocked down the mosquito population massively, however, that by its self is not proof of mosquito control. the pools treated all dried up more rapidly than normal, so that was a win, but why the mosquito population dropped between dropping the agent and the pool drying up i can not evaluate logically.

off camera, i think it was the next day, i almost completely disassymbled the thing trying to do exactly that. i used a flat punch on the roller shaft, and was sorta gentle, and it would not move. i'm of the opinion it is a friction fit. i will mike it out and see a little later and will get back toyou. we have storms hitting and i don't want to get that stuff out and risk water damage so it will be later this week, hopefully. i can tell you i could not budge it with that punch and was hesitant to really slam down on it until i have to replace a cutter wheel.

honestly, i don't think like that. i want to know things, understand the world around me. others are of that mindset and as i explore the world, i try to share that with others.

i had a sat device long ago, and when i opened it, all the circuitry was flat foil that was glued to a board i expected more of that, and less of what i saw.
