All brilliant personalities. Not sure if i saw this one before. If I remember correctly Jeanette died within the last 10/15 years. She lives on thro her daughter. They are all simply amazing people Kevin and the rest. Those false limbs should have been put on a bonfire. The legs looked ridiculous. Im glad people saw the funny side of them and can laugh about it😊. Cheers to all the smashing individuals who took part in the documentary. I always feel grateful to be able to watch any follow-ups.

I most definitely salute you all! I remember years ago my lovely Mum was offered these tablets as she was being so sick carrying me! Despite being so poorly my Mum refused! I asked her later in my life…why? She explained to me that she never took any medication wether she needed them or not..not even an aspirin! She gave birth to another 8 children after me….and she still had problems but would never have any meds ! We were all born perfect….she saved me and my siblings from the horrors of the awful life changing drug! She was very angry and sad for the countless families that had gone through this awful,devastating tragedy….I so admired and loved her for her countless refusal’s to take pain meds….I lost her eight years ago but I will never forget her sadness for those poor mums and babies that she’d meet at anti natal clinics….. God’s blessings to you all who have continued to face the hardships you may have suffered! x

The more I see of Kevin's Mum the more respect I have for her. She's just amazing. No wonder Kevin is the person he is.

What I want to know is, why aren't we giving leprosy patients poor countries the antibiotics needed to cure leprosy, rather than just treating the symptoms? Wouldn't that be more cost effective in the long term?

I was prescribed this drug in 1975 when pregnant with my first child, I got the prescription but never took the drug and I'm thankful I didn't.
